AMD announced that it has provided its partners with the latest AGESA 1.1.0.0D, enabled the new Curve Optimizer OC function, and officially provided support for Ryzen 5000 processors on the 400 series motherboards.
As part of PBO2, Curve Optimizer OC can step down and overclock, allowing Ryzen 5000 processor to achieve higher energy efficiency. AMD said that the BIOS equipped with AGESA 1.1.0.0D will be released by the motherboard manufacturer in January next year, but there is already a Beta BIOS for early adopters before then. The editor of
PCEVA tried it on the Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI motherboard. After updating the F31o BIOS, follow AMD’s recommendations: PBO Limits is set to Motherboard, Max CPU Boost Clock Override is set to 200MHz, and Curve Optimizer is set to ON.
BIOS supports setting offsets for all or a single core. Positive means pressure and Negative means step-down. Each counting unit is approximately equivalent to a voltage of 3 to 5mV. For the best physique core, set a relatively larger pressure drop, while other cores can set a slightly smaller pressure drop to avoid instability.

Currently, Curve Optimizer can only be set in BIOS for overclocking. AMD plans to add this feature to AMD Ryzen Master overclocking tool software in the future.
