As the popularity of home smart projection products continues to increase, various brands and manufacturers have joined this field, and product releases are also quite frequent. In order to expand their influence and increase publicity, many manufacturers are "racking their brains" in promoting their own products. Recently, the Nut brand launched its first three-color laser projector Nut N series, including the Nut N1 Pro and N1 Ultra, both products adopt a brand-new design, and there are many highlights of the whole machine. However, looking at the entire press conference, Nut CPO Wang Xiaoyi’s promotion of the brightness parameters and speckle elimination technology of these two products was really hard to understand.

First of all, it is brightness promotion. At the press conference, Nut CPO Wang Xiaoyi claimed that the brightness of Nut N1 Pro is 3200 lumens and the brightness of N1 Ultra is 4000 lumens. These parameters look quite eye-catching, but considering that the false standard of brightness of smart projectors is very common, some bloggers conducted actual tests on these two projectors. The actual test results also surprised us. Nut N1 The measured brightness of the Pro is only lumens, while the measured brightness of the Nut N1 Ultra is only 2122 lumens, which is basically only half of the nominal brightness advertised at the press conference. I don’t know this test result. How should the Nut product manager explain it? You know, in August this year, XGIMI launched a new CCB brightness standard (Cinema Color Brightness).

Let’s look at speckle elimination. We all know that laser light sources have always had speckle problems. In fact, I have always felt that speckle is not a flaw. It has very little impact on the viewing experience. In comparison, resolution and color are the most important display parameters. At the press conference, Nut CPO Wang Xiaoyi claimed that the use of technology has basically solved the speckle problem and can eliminate 96% of speckles. This sounds really impressive, and we can also see it on the Jingdong page of Nut. The slogan is: The picture is speckle-free, which makes us look forward to it very much.

However, the actual test and comparison results are still a bit confusing. On the b site, the test results of the UP owner "Read the review first" show that the projection image of the Nut N1 Pro still has relatively obvious speckle noise. Other up owners also said that from the actual comparison results, the projection image of the Nut N1 Pro does not have significantly less speckle than other three-color laser projections. The exaggerated propaganda of the Nut, or even false propaganda, is already a real hammer.

You must know that Jimi took the lead in creating the original CCB brightness standard in the industry. The CCB standard is specially designed to meet the market demand for today's smart projection and other home projections. In fact, I feel that in this era, no product can be said to be perfect. A product has obvious advantages. It is normal to have obvious shortcomings, but what consumers cannot accept is exaggerated propaganda, falsified parameters, or even blatant lies at the press conference to fool consumers. Such behavior not only discredits the entire industry, but also harms consumers. It does not benefit the brand itself and will only attract the rejection of consumers and the market. What do you think?
