Keychron K2 upgraded model, Keychron K2 PRO. The new upgrade incorporates some Keychron Q series customized genes. While maintaining the original appearance design language, it is equipped with a set of Q series OSA PBT ball caps, which still supports Bluetooth dual-mode wireless connection, WIN/MAC dual system switching, and has full-key hot swapping and VIA key changing. Keychron K2 PRO accessories are relatively rich. Because its frame is a detachable structure, a special screwdriver is also included. In addition, the keyboard is pre-installed with MAC system keycaps and provides three WIN system supplementary keys.

Appearance details
Keychron K2 PRO still uses a 75% compact, 84-key layout. The simple frame shape is straight and square. Among them, there are plastic version and metal version. The metal version is not an all-aluminum shell, but has four side pillars made of metal. The look and feel are naturally much better than the plastic version. The color scheme directly applies the Q series family design, using the same OSA PBT ball cap. There is a second layer of key function labels on the F area for easy use without having to memorize key functions. The special button layout of Keychron K2 PRO is in the upper right corner. The default is the light mode switching button, which does not require FN key combination operation as in the past. Del was moved to the left, and it was a bit uncomfortable to get started with. Of course, you can also interchange the functions through VIA software, which is not a problem.
Keychron K2 PRO shell still feels relatively thick, and the lower edge of the bottom is relatively high. It is recommended to use it with a wrist rest. In terms of details, the left and right metal side pillars are each fixed with two screws and can be removed with the included tools. The upper and lower side pillars are inserted into the sliding rail structure, which will be displayed later. There is a cable outlet on the left side of the

The left and right metal side columns can be easily removed by unscrewing two screws. It can be found that there is actually a plastic "shell" inside. Keychron K2 PRO is equipped with the new customized K PRO series shaft body. Currently, it provides three conventional options: K PRO red shaft, K PRO brown shaft and K PRO green shaft. It adopts MX structure, wall cross axis core, transparent PC upper cover, and standard color matching. Taking the K PRO brown switch as an example, it has a trigger pressure of 50g, a trigger stroke of 2mm and a total key travel of 4mm. The feel of traditional tea shaft has a slight paragraph feel and the overall consistency is quite good. Thanks to the wall axis core, the pressing process and bottoming stability are also relatively high. Secondly, it is slightly moist when leaving the factory, and there is no obvious spring or shrapnel noise. The shaft body of the
K PRO series uses a traditional short spring, and the rebound feel is relatively soft compared to the current long spring solutions that are almost exclusively used.
Keychron K2 PRO large keys use the same PCB satellite axis scheme as the Q series. They are clearly lubricated from the factory, triggering crisply, without any fleshiness, and are generally above average. In other words, the cavity sound triggered by pressing the space bar will be more obvious. The
keyboard supports full-key hot swapping, is compatible with three-pin and five-pin shafts, and has a lower lamp layout. Keychron K2 PRO has a boat hull structure, and the inner tank is connected to the bottom shell with screws. The filling is made of sandwich cotton and double silencer of silicone at the bottom. The metal version has the advantage of a thicker body, and the cavity sound suppression is pretty good, without any metal resonance sound.
VIA interface
Keychron K2 PRO adopts the same QMK/VIA solution of the Q series. Through the VIA software, you can customize the full-key functions by loading layers. There are 4 layers in total, with a high degree of freedom. It should be noted that when using VIA software, the keyboard needs to be switched to wired mode to be recognized, and the setting is completed to unplug the memory. The
keyboard defaults to 6-key rollover by default. It can be switched to full-key rollover through key combinations. It is supported in Bluetooth mode. In Bluetooth mode, up to 3 devices can be matched and memorized, and can be quickly switched through FN+1/2/3. Among them, Keychron K2 PRO has a preset battery capacity of 4000mAh, and the official claims a battery life of 80 hours, about 3-5 weeks.
