To be honest, as a loyal fan of Huawei, before I used iPhone13 Pro, I have always used Huawei's Mate series flagships. From Huawei Mate30 Pro to Huawei Mate40 Pro, Huawei mobile has indeed brought me a good user experience. If it weren't for Huawei Mate50 series that had not been released for a long time, I wouldn't have changed to iPhone13 Pro.
After using Huawei Mate40 Pro for nearly a year and a half, I had to focus on the iPhone13 Pro. Because I had used iPhone11 for a while, I was not unfamiliar with iOS systems, but just about 6 months after I bought it, the Huawei Mate50 series was officially released. So after weighing it over and over again, I still chose to buy Huawei Mate50 Pro. It has been used heavily for more than a month. I have been holding up a lot of things to say about these two phones.
In terms of appearance design, it was something I didn't expect that Huawei Mate50 Pro will return to the notch screen again. In this way, there is not much difference in the screen design of Huawei Mate50 Pro and iPhone13 Pro. Both are notch screen designs. However, Huawei Mate50 Pro is still a curved screen, and the back is still the classic "star ring" design of the Mate series. Overall, the appearance of Huawei Mate50 Pro is still online.
The iPhone 13 Pro is the same as the Huawei Mate50 Pro, with a notch screen design, with a much smaller body size. In addition, the three-camera module raised on the back and the right-angle frame design makes the iPhone 13 Pro feel not so round, because I personally do not reject the notch screen, so for the appearance and feel of these two phones, I am more inclined to the Huawei Mate50 Pro.
As for the screen parameters, Huawei Mate50 Pro uses a 6.72-inch OLED curved screen, supports 120Hz high refresh rate, and has outstanding picture quality. It also supports 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, making the appearance more comfortable. Huawei also added Kunlun glass material to the Mate50 Pro, which has improved its drop resistance by 10 times, and can effectively protect the screen.
In contrast, the iPhone 13 Pro still uses a 6.1-inch super retinal XDR screen, which also supports a high refresh rate of 120Hz and also supports ProMotion adaptive refresh rate technology. If it is a screen configuration, the strength of these two phones is comparable, but for me, because I have always used large-screen phones with around 6.7, Huawei Mate50 Pro is more suitable for me.
Then there is performance. Unfortunately, Huawei Mate50 Pro still does not use Kirin chip and 5G, but is equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 chip. From this perspective, the advantages of the full-blooded A15 chip on the iPhone 13 Pro are very obvious. There is no doubt that in terms of processor configuration, the iPhone 13 Pro almost surpasses Huawei Mate50 Pro. However, the Hongmeng OS 3.0 operating system has won some scores for Huawei Mate50 Pro. This is not to say that the iOS system is not good, but for me, the shortcomings of the poor openness of the iOS system will be amplified. I personally prefer the Internet of Everything in the Hongmeng OS 3.0 system.
So these two phones have their own highlights in performance configuration. The iPhone 13 Pro is equipped with an A15 chip, and its performance strength is unquestionable. However, Huawei Mate50 Pro's Hongmeng OS 3.0 operating system pays more attention to user experience. If you want to make a choice among these two phones, it still depends on your personal needs.
In terms of image configuration, iPhone13 Pro is the 12-megapixel triple camera module inherited by Apple . Although the imaging quality and graphics processing capabilities are very powerful, there is still a big gap compared with Huawei Mate50 Pro. After canceling the cooperation with Leica , Huawei launched its own XMAGE imaging system and was first equipped with Huawei Mate50 Pro. In addition, Huawei Mate50 Pro has a 50-megapixel ultra-luminous main camera with a rear 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens + 1.3-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. In the actual shooting experience, I think Huawei Mate50 Pro is much better than iPhone13 Pro.
In addition, Huawei Mate50 Pro also stuns me with satellite communication technology, which is a new function based on the Beidou satellite positioning system. Even if you are in an environment without signals, you can still send text and position information to the outside world, and you can not automatically generate motion trajectories. For outdoor adventure enthusiasts, it can be regarded as a "life-saving tool". In addition, Huawei Mate50 Pro also has a super transit station function, which can realize document processing across devices and applications; the addition of energy-concentrating pump technology allows Huawei Mate50 Pro to support 12-minute emergency calls or standby hours even if the power of Huawei Mate50 Pro is only 1%.
I have to say that although the Huawei Mate50 series was officially released after two years, it did bring a lot of surprises, which is also the reason why I switched from iPhone13 Pro to Huawei Mate50 Pro again.
