Introduction:
The full-speed PCIe 5.0 SSD has not yet been released, and the glorious era of PCIe 4.0 SSD has arrived. Zhiying was the first to launch the TiPlus7100 with Xtacking® (Xtacking) 3.0, so we can enjoy the new flash memory technology that the next generation of PCIe 5.0 flagship products will be used in the mainstream SSD in advance! The eye-catching SATURATION in the upper right corner of the
TiPlus7100 packaging box is a newly proposed Saturate The Bus. It originates from the concept of SATURATION FUNCTION saturation function: after reaching the critical value, the vertical axis value will no longer change and tend to be saturated.
The current four-channel DRAMLess SSD read speed is usually around 5000MB/s, while the TiPlus7100 can reach more than 7000MB/s, which fully reflects the bandwidth advantages of the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface.

crystal stack 3.0 architecture:
SATURATION saturation concept relies on Yangtze Memory crystal stack® (Xtacking) 3.0 technology: The IO interface of the original flash memory of the Yangtze Memory used by the TiPlus7100 has been accelerated by 50%, reaching 2400MT/s. The main control only needs four channels to run the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface.
crystal stack®Xtacking® technology completes the CMOS peripheral circuit and the NAND storage array part on two wafers, and then bonds through the metal interconnection channel VIAs. Parallel and module design and manufacturing improve R&D efficiency and shorten the flash memory production cycle. The flash CMOS peripheral circuit used by
TiPlus7100 uses the crystal stack 3.0 architecture: the IO transmission rate of 2400MT/s is 50% faster than the previous generation (1600MT/s). The I/O interface speedup helps the TiPlus7100 to achieve faster SSD read and write speeds with fewer flash channels.
In addition to speeding up the I/O interface, Yangtze Memory also improves the write performance of flash memory. The four-channel design has a 1TB slow-out write speed of 2000MB/s, which is at the same level as the eight-channel design of Samsung 980PRO and Western Digital SN850. The advent of TiPlus7100 has completely changed the game: the cost-effective mainstream four-channel SSD can now directly challenge the eight-channel flagship products.
SATURATION and flash memory IO speed:
Yangtze River Storage Xtacking crystal stack technology has developed from 1.0 to 3.0, and the flash memory IO speed has increased from 800MT/s and 1600MT/s to 2400MT/s. The flash IO speed and the number of flash channels determine the sequential read and write speed of SSD. Although SATURATION is a newly proposed concept recently, in fact, the Yangtze Memory Initiative has always aimed at helping SSDs run through their external interface bandwidth for each generation of flash memory. The table above
shows the percentage of SSD's internal bandwidth in various flash configurations that exceed 100% means the interface bandwidth is saturated. SATURATION means full interface bandwidth, leaving no regrets in performance.
test platform and software information:
test platform:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
motherboard: Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE WIFI
Memory: DDR4-3000
Hard disk: Kingston KC2000 250GB (OS)
Ideal TiPlus7100 1TB
System: Windows 11 22H2
driver: stornvme
CrystalDiskInfo information identification:
CDI can identify the transmission mode of NVMe solid state hard disk and standard SMART health information. The TiPlus7100 1TB continues to adopt a 1024GB full capacity design, using PCIe 4.0 x4 interface and NVMe 1.4 protocol.
HWiNFO64 hardware information identification: TiPlus7100 supports 512-byte MPS, which can achieve higher PCIe transmission efficiency on the AMD Ryzen platform, and is also the key to achieving 7400MB/s reading speed. On the Intel platform that supports up to 256 byte MPS, the sequential read speed will be limited to around 7200MB/s.
benchmark:
benchmark 1: Theoretical bandwidth test
Through CrystalDiskMark, you can test the theoretical read and write performance of SSD. The actual test score of TiPlus7100 1TB is read 7450.47MB/s in sequence and write 6222.62MB/s in sequence; read 987K IOPS in random and write 895K IOPS in random.
Although the TiPlus7100 uses DRAMLess (without DRAM cache) design, the theoretical read and write performance is fully aligned with the PCIe 4.0 flagship product of DRAMBased (with DRAM cache).
Benchmark 2: PCMark 10 Complete System Disk Benchmark
PCMark 10 Complete System Disk Benchmark is a broad range of tests for the latest contemporary solid state drives, covering system boot, Adobe design suite application, Office office suite application, picture/ISO file copying, multiple game loading processes and other test contents. The test requires at least 80GB of hard disk space, and the write volume generated by a single test reaches 204GB, which is more complex than the PCMark 8 storage test.
Identical TiPlus7100 1TB scored 3511 points in the PCMark 10 complete system disk benchmark, storage bandwidth is 552.58MB/s, and average access time is 47 microseconds. In the face of the TiPlus7100, the existing PCIe 4.0 DRAMLess product will be vulnerable, and even flagship models with DRAM cache (DRAM Based) may not necessarily take advantage.
benchmark 3: 3DMark storage performance test

Identical TiPlus7100 1TB scored 3702 points in the 3DMark storage test, the storage bandwidth is 627.67MB/s, and the average access time is 48 microseconds. With its impressive results, the TiPlus7100 1TB easily ranks among the flagship performance ranks.
Advanced Test:
Advanced Test Project 1: SLC Cache Test
Through the IOMeter write test under the condition of no file system, it can be seen that the IOMeter write test under the empty disk conditions that the ITiPlus7100 1TB can provide about 160GB of SLC write cache space. The TLC write speed outside the SLC cache is about 2000MB/s.
After using IOMeter to fill in 477GB of data into the disk, the available SLC write cache space of TiPlus7100 1TB is between 70 and 160GB (non-fixed).
half disk state Theoretical read and write performance remains basically unchanged:
half disk state 3DMark storage test score is 3707 points, which has not declined compared to empty disk:
Advanced Test Item 2: Temperature Pressure Test
Temperature Pressure Test is carried out under passive heat dissipation conditions, with the purpose of checking how NVMe SSDs perform temperature management under high workloads. When the master or flash memory is overheated, the SSD master will limit power and keep the temperature within the safe range. The test was performed using IOMeter, and the speed and temperature information were recorded per second using HWiNFO64. Under the passive heat dissipation conditions of

Advanced Test Project 3: Laptop Platform Test
Install the TiPlus7100 1TB on Mechanical Revolution Unbounded 14 (Core i5-12500H) as a system disk. The laptop is enabled in quiet mode, the PCMark 10 modern office battery life test score is 5 hours and 44 minutes, the ASPM and APST energy-saving features work normally, and there is no problem of dropping or lag.
Summary: The TiPlus7100 designed with
single-sided PCB has flexible space compatibility and can meet the PCIe 4.0 expansion needs of notebooks, desktops and PS5 users. With the flash memory advantages brought by the innovation of Xtacking 3.0 technology, the performance of TiPlus7100 is unique among similar DRAMLess products, showing its strength comparable to DRAMBased flagship products, becoming a game changer.
