AMD Ryzen 3 7320U, codenamed "Mendocino", recently appeared in the GeekBench running score library. From the performance score of this entry-level APU, it is better than the SOC on Valve Steam Deck.

Last month, AMD launched the Mendocino APU for the "Daily Computing" laptop market. These APUs are designed for high-end gaming or content creation workloads, with the main focus on providing users with the most basic computing needs in a platform that provides longer battery life. The lineup is located at the tail end of the Ryzen 7000 CPU series and includes three series, Ryzen 5, Ryzen 3 and Athlon CPUs.
Judging from the benchmark running score test results, the AMD Ryzen 3 7320U “Mendocino” CPU has 4 cores and 8 threads. This CPU is based on the Zen 2 core architecture and is equipped with 4 MB L3 and 2 MB L2 cache. The base clock of CPU is 2.40 GHz and the boost clock is 4.10 GHz. It also has an RDNA 2 iGPU and has 2 computing units or 1 WGP (Workgroup Processor) running at 1.9 GHz. The CPU is rated TDP of 8-15W.
So, in terms of performance metrics, the entry-level AMD Ryzen 3 7320U “Mendocino” CPU scored 1043 points in the single-core test and 3909 points in the multi-core test.
In a single core, the performance of Mendocino CPU is about 20% higher than that of the SoC used in Steam Deck, and it is also about 5% higher in the multi-threaded benchmark test. This is a good result, but it will feel better given the nominal working range of the Aerith SOC in 4 to 15W.
