Andrew O'Hara on Twitter, the new charging case for the upcoming second-generation AirPods Pro may have speaker holes, microphones, and an opening for a lanyard connection. O'Hara said he couldn't verify the accuracy of these renders, but they do line up with previous rumors about the next AirPods Pro charging case.

The new charging box is expected to gain support for Find My’s finding system, allowing users to track the location of the box in the Find My app if it is lost or misplaced, even if the AirPods Pro are not in the box. Earlier this year, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said the case could make a sound when lost, which would explain the addition of a speaker hole. The
render also shows a single hole that could be a microphone, although its purpose is unclear. One possibility is that the microphone could be used for Apple 's accessibility feature Live Listen, which helps people hear conversations in noisy places or from across the room. The case's microphone picks up sound and sends it to the AirPods Pro someone is wearing, making it easier to hear.
Finally, the renders show a cutout on the right side of the case, possibly for the previously leaked lanyard attachment. This feature will make it easier to attach the AirPods Pro case to a keychain without requiring additional accessories.

Judging from the CAD drawing, this phone case has a Lightning interface, or USB-C, like the current version. It is currently uncertain, but there are rumors that this phone case will stick to the Lightning interface this year and next year. Switch to USB-C with iPhone 15. Since the upgrade in October 2021, the charging box also supports MagSafe wireless charging.
The new AirPods Pro charging case is also likely to be IPX4 waterproof and sweatproof like the third-generation AirPods charging case. Currently, only the AirPods Pro earbuds are waterproof, not the case.
Although the second-generation AirPods Pro is expected to have longer battery life due to the use of a more power-efficient H2 chip and may support the low-power LE audio standard of Bluetooth 5.2, it is currently unclear about the new charging box Will the battery be larger? The current AirPods Pro case is equipped with a 519mAh battery.
expects Apple to announce new AirPods Pro before the end of 2022, but it’s unclear when they will debut. Other rumored features of the new AirPods Pro include improved in-ear detection, fitness tracking capabilities, and more.
