Judging from the current mobile phone market, Samsung folding screen mobile phones are the industry leader and have released generations of excellent folding screen mobile phones. After launching the Galaxy Z Fold3 in August 2021, Samsung launched its successor to the high-end foldable phone Galaxy Z Fold4 on August 10, 2022.
Although the previous generation Galaxy Z Fold3 is relatively good, it still has many shortcomings. Next, I want to talk to you about why I decided to buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 because of these 4 reasons.
1, the new 4nm processor
processor is one of the main improvements of Galaxy Z Fold4. A new 4nm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor powers the new Fold 4, and the new chip is more powerful than the 5nm chip in the Fold 3 model.
Specifically, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip features a more powerful 3.19 GHz Cortex-X2 core for high performance, supplemented by three Cortex-A710 cores running at 2.75GHz, and finally four Cortex-A510 cores to improve energy efficiency.
It beats the 5nm Snapdragon 888 in almost every way and makes the Galaxy Z Fold4 the most powerful foldable phone Samsung has ever made. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 also promises longer battery life than .
2, upgraded camera
Galaxy Z Fold4’s camera has been slightly upgraded, one of which is the new 50MP wide-angle lens . Compared to the previous generation's 12MP wide-angle lens, using the new 50MP lens allows for better images as the pixel size increases. The
lens is 23% larger, so it can capture more light and enhance low-light performance, making both daylight photos and night shots crystal clear. Another great addition to the new camera lens is the ability to shoot 8K video at 24fps.
Samsung has also replaced the old model’s 12MP telephoto lens with a new 10MP lens. Yes, the resolution is lower, but the new lens adds 3x optical zoom , which is an upgrade from the 2x zoom capability of the Fold3 telephoto camera . The 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera remains unchanged.
3, Stronger and more compact
Although the exterior design remains the same, Samsung has made some adjustments to the Galaxy Z Fold4 to make it stronger and more compact. The Galaxy Z Fold4 has a slimmer aluminum hinge and narrow bezels covering the screen, so it's a bit lighter than its predecessor.
Of course, unless you are eagle-eyed, you will hardly notice these changes in real-world use. Another change is the replacement of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with an upgraded version on the cover and main screen for improved durability.
4, Faster Wireless Charging
Wireless charging has been improved in Galaxy Z Fold4 models. If you prefer to use wireless charging, you'll be happy to hear that it has a maximum power rating of 15W. While that's not a huge jump from the 11W rating on the Galaxy Z Fold3 model, it's not unwelcome either.
If you find your foldable phone charging slowly, you can use the included USB Type-C port instead, which tops out at 25W, just like the Z Fold3. Both support reverse wireless charging, but the maximum power is 4.5W.
Finally, will you buy Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 folding screen phone because of the above 4 reasons? Everyone is welcome to discuss together.
