Lincheng Guiyang
Day and Night
I am a native of Guizhou and have lived in Guiyang for more than 20 years. Guiyang is a city of mountains and rivers, and is called "Forest City" by many people. The vegetation here is lush and lush, and life often feels like being in a forest.

Guiyang has many mountains. "The city is in the mountains, and the mountains are in the city" is a true portrayal of Guiyang. Coupled with warm winters and cool summers, the climate is pleasant, making it a truly livable city.
There is a temple built on the mountain in the center of Guiyang, called Dongshan Temple. It is built on the mountain and rises step by step, overlooking the city of Guiyang. It became a tourist attraction in Guiyang during the Ming Dynasty.

There are many mountains and a lot of water. Guizhou's water network is densely covered with various shapes. There are both majestic waterfalls and gentle Dingdong Mountain Springs.

There are also many bridges in Guiyang. The Qianchun Overpass connects the old city and the new city from east to west, extending in all directions. Because the bridge spirals like a maze, it is known as "one of the most complex overpasses in China."
In Guiyang, there are many characteristic buildings. The Longxiyuan Community in Guiyang Century City is also known as the "Chuanchuan Building" because of its unique appearance. The stacked 180° semi-circular balconies and the load-bearing columns reaching into the sky add a lot of interest to Guiyang architecture.

Guiyang also has the largest market in Asia, the "Guiyang Flower Orchard" known as the God of China. One-tenth of the population in Guiyang City lives in Huaguoyuan, where buildings are densely packed like a cement forest.

The beautiful mountains and clear waters make Guiyang’s urban life more comfortable and comfortable. In parks, squares, and under bridges in ordinary corners of life, I can often encounter lovely Guizhou people through my lens.

But Guiyang also has a lively side. At night, everything from snack streets to bar streets is lively and full of fireworks, giving the city a different vitality than during the day.

Multi-ethnic customs
When talking about Guizhou, the unique multi-ethnic customs are indispensable. In order to better show the style of Guizhou, I traveled across mountains and rivers and spent more than half a month recording the cultural landscape of the Miao and Dong ethnic minorities.

Guizhou Xijiang Miao Village is composed of more than 10 natural villages built on the mountains. It is currently the largest Miao village in the world. From the stacks of stilted buildings, you can see the panoramic view of Miao Village, which is like a fairyland on earth.

The villagers in Xijiang Miao Village are good at singing. People often gather together to sing loudly. The songs contain accumulated history and full love for life.

The enthusiasm of the Miao family is not only reflected in their songs to express their feelings, but also in the custom of toasting guests with wine. The Miao people have a particularly unique way of toasting, called "High Mountain and Flowing Water". The Miao girl toasts the guests from high to low, which symbolizes the endless mountains and flowing water.

After leaving Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, I came to Guizhou Huanggang Dong Village, where some original and beautiful secrets are still preserved. Drum Tower is an important carrier of Dong culture and is also the spiritual sustenance of the Dong people.

Wherever there is Dong , there is a Drum Tower. The majestic drum towers show the style of the Dong village. In Huanggang Dong Village, there are five drum towers, which govern the five Fang clans respectively. Each Fang clan has a relatively concentrated gathering place. The Drum Tower is the most prominent symbol of the Dong village and the representative of the Dong cultural system.

In Dong Village, many Dong people maintain their traditional way of life. They wear Dong clothes, work at sunrise and rest at sunset, and live a simple and fulfilling life.

How to shoot on Xiaomi mobile phone?
When I used Xiaomi 12Pro to create this set of photos, I once again felt its excellent imaging capabilities. Even when there is not enough light, the picture details are still good and the colors are more vivid.
