1. Clues - Source of the Bagua
As mentioned in the previous article, in order to analyze and find the corresponding relationship between the hexagrams in the Bagua, you must first understand the essence of the Bagua, that is, we must start from the origin of the Bagua. Because the acquired Bagua is inconvenient to directly see the correspondence from the hexagrams, we need another concept that can reflect the essence of the Bagua - the Bagua number.
Bagua numbers are representative numbers of Bagua. The order of numbers is the order in which Bagua formation and even the occurrence of all things in the universe. It is the basis for the birth of Bagua. Since it is the basis for birth, this belongs to the concept of the essence of Bagua. The eight trigrams of the heavenly beings have their own numbers, among which the numbers of the eight trigrams of the innate eight trigrams are: Qian one, Dui two, Li three, Zhen four, Xun five, Kan six, Gen seven, Kun eight. The numbers of the acquired Eight Trigrams are: Kan 1, Kun 2, Zhen 3, Xun 4, Li 9, Gen 8, Dui 7, Qian 6.
Innate Bagua Number and Acquired Bagua Number
We now know the Bagua Number of Acquired Bagua, so how should we analyze it? First of all, we need to know that the gossip numbers are an arrangement of a set of numbers, the order itself, and a mathematical relationship. Bagua numbers are numbers represented by Bagua, and the arrangement of numbers in them is also a mathematical relationship and will not change due to different hexagrams. Therefore, the analysis method of the correspondence relationship of the hexagrams in the acquired Bagua is that it is possible to fully apply the analysis method of the correspondence relationship of the hexagrams in the innate Bagua.
The two lines of yin and yang completely interchange in the innate Bagua are located at the two ends of the farthest distance between the Bagua diagram, that is, the opposite position. There is a relationship between their eight trigram numbers: the sum of the two trigram numbers in the opposite position happens to be 9, that is, 1+8=9, 2+7=9, 3+6=9, 4+5=9, which are all equal to 9, which means that the meaning of each group of the corresponding trigrams is equivalent and important, representing the basic dimension. At the same time, another corresponding method is: Qian-Kun, Li-Kan, Zhen-Gen, Dui-Xun. The Bagua diagram is vertically relative; their Bagua numbers correspond to: 1-8, 3-6, 4-7, and 2-5 respectively. [1]The following rules are arranged in the following ways, see the figure below.

We can summarize the rules between the correspondence between the gossip numbers and the gossips as:
1, number axis symmetric addition and keep and constant.
2. The center is divided into lines, and the number from the farthest end of the line is combined; the remaining three groups of numbers are then combined according to the distance from the line, which is farther and closer; the cross-border combination among the three groups is in the middle.
2, correspondence in the acquired Bagua
Now we use the above rules to find the correspondence between the acquired Bagua hexagrams. First of all, the numbers of the acquired Bagua are: Kan 1, Kun 2, Zhen 3, Xun 4, Qian 6, Dui 7, Gen 8, and Li 9. As for why there is no five, because there is also a central palace in the acquired Bagua, which is five, located between Xun 4 and Qian 6. Since the central palace does not directly correspond to the hexagram, it is not within the scope of consideration.
Now, we substitute the acquired Bagua numbers into the "law between Bagua numbers and Bagua correspondence", and we can obtain the following results.
The first method: the number axis symmetric addition is maintained and constant. First, we divide Kan 1, Kun 2, Zhen 3, Xun 4, Qian 6, Dui 7, Gen 8, and Li 9 into two groups along the middle line, namely 1234 and 6789. Then, two numbers equally distanced from the middle line in different groups are combined (numerical axis symmetrical addition), that is, 1+9, 2+8, 3+7, 4+6. At the same time, the sum of the sum of these four groups of numbers is equal to 10, satisfying the "numerical axis symmetrical addition remains constant". Therefore, the correspondence between the first type of acquired Bagua is: Kan-Li, Kun-Gen, Zhen-Dui, Xun-Qian .
combined with acquired Bagua diagram , we can see that this correspondence method is consistent with the innate Bagua correspondence method, and they are both counterpoint correspondences.This correspondence means that the complete opposite of the yin and yang attributes between the two hexagrams is the opposition of the essence of the hexagram, just like the positive and negative poles (innate Bagua) [1]. For the acquired Bagua, its essence is the change of natural attributes (or regularity), which is in the order of Zhen-Xun-Li-Kun-Dui-Qian-Kan-Gen, reflecting that things grow from germination and growth to reach peaks, then begin to go downhill, shrink and even silence, and finally nurture new life in silence and enter the next cycle [2]. And the way of operation and change is completely opposite to the essence.
3 Gossip and universe
The second method: divide the center into a line, and combine the number from the farthest end of the line; the remaining three groups of numbers are then combined according to the distance from the line, which is farther and closer; the cross-border combination among the three groups. First of all, we will divide Kan 1, Kun 2, Zhen 3, Xun 4, Qian 6, Dui 7, Gen 8, and Li 9 into two groups, namely 1234 and 6789. Then only the two numbers that are farthest from the middle line in the two groups are combined (the number that is farthest from the line is combined), i.e. 1-9. Next, in 234 (group one) and 678 (group two), we find the 2 farthest from the middle line of Group one and the 6 closest to the middle line of Group two, and they are combined, that is, 2-6; similarly, we find the 8 farthest from the middle line of Group two and the 4 closest to the middle line of Group one and Group one, and they are combined, that is, 4-8; the rest are 3 and 7 with the same distance from the middle line of Group one and Group two, and they are combined, that is, 3-7, which is (the remaining three groups are combined according to the distance from the line, farther and closer; the cross-border combination among the three groups). In summary, it is 1-9, 2-6, 3-7, and 4-8. Therefore, the correspondence between the second type of acquired Bagua is: Kan-Li, Kun-Qian, Zhen-Dui, Xun-Gen .
combined with the acquired Bagua diagram, we can see that this correspondence method and the corresponding method of the innate Bagua are perpendicular to each other (Figure 1). But when we take the correspondence method of the innate Bagua vertically and then summarize it, we can find that the correspondence of the innate Bagua will become the correspondence of Kan-Li, Kun-Qian, Zhen-Dui, Xun-Gen, which is the same as the correspondence of the second hexagram of the acquired Bagua. That is to say, when we do not look at the Bagua diagram, the correspondence relationship of the second hexagram of the acquired Bagua is consistent with the corresponding relationship of the second hexagram of the acquired Bagua and the result after the correspondence relationship of the second hexagram of the innate Bagua is vertical (Figure 2).

In the innate Bagua, this correspondence method is the inversion of the position of the line between the two hexagrams, which is the reversal of the final characteristics of the hexagram [1]. For the acquired Bagua, the essence is the law of changes in things, and it shows two concepts: one is prosperity and decline, and the other is speed and slowness. In other words, the characteristics of acquired Bagua are the speed of prosperity and decline. We can use a model to express it, namely the sinusoidal function model.
Arrange the hexagrams of the acquired Bagua clockwise in the direction of Zhen-Xun-Li-Kun-Dui-Qian-Kan-Gen (East-Southeast-Southwest-West-Northwest-Northeast-Northeast-Northeast-Northeast-Northeast) as a cycle of the x-axis. The relative prosperity and decline, yin and yang, movement and stillness expressed in the hexagrams are the images of the sinusoidal function, and the points on the x-axis corresponding to each hexagram are the points that best represent the characteristics of the function at this time (the function value or derivative value is at this time the maximum or minimum or 0). A positive value means prosperity, and a negative value means decline; while a steepness of a function image is a manifestation of rapid change, and a steady value is a manifestation of slow change, which can also be expressed by the derivative of the function.
Through this model, we can find that the corresponding relationships of Kan-Li, Kun-Qian, Zhen-Dui, Xun-Gen are that the functions values are positive and negative and the derivative values are equal. When the function values are 0, the derivative values are positive and negative. The positive and negative of the function value means prosperity and decline, and this prosperity and decline is the direct manifestation of things and the characteristics directly displayed to us; and the positive and negative magnitude of the derivative means that things develop in a good or bad direction, fast or slow direction, and are the situation after things. When the function value is 0, it means that there is no relative prosperity and decline. Then the direct manifestation of things at this time is their development trend, that is, things are changes.From the above we can see that the correspondence between the second type of acquired Bagua and the consistency of the meaning of the innate Bagua is both a reversal that expresses the ultimate intuitive characteristics of things.
summary
There is also a pairwise relationship between the acquired Bagua, and there are two types of Bagua, namely Kan-Li, Kun-Gen, Zhen-Dui, Xun-Qian; and Kan-Li, Kun-Qian, Zhen-Qian, and Xun-Gen. These two correspondences start from the two perspectives of essence and ultimately demonstrated characteristics, and are closely related to their source - Bagua numbers, which also shows that there is a connection between Bagua numbers and the structure of Bagua arrangement and is a mathematical relationship.
