Yi hexagram is the twenty-seventh hexagram among the sixty-four hexagrams in "Book of Changes". Yi refers to the cheek, gills. It mainly talks about how people can correctly obtain the diet they need to survive.
1. The hexagram of Yi Gua is that maintenance requires struggle, but there must be boundaries
Yi Gua The upper hexagram is Gen, which is the mountain, and the lower hexagram is earthquake, thunder, and movement. There is thunder at the foot of the mountain, the mountain is thunderous . When thunder comes out of the mountains, it is the warm spring when the heaven and earth nourish all things. Move but stop, maintenance requires struggle, but there must be boundaries. Do not invade other people's property or harm other people's support. The way to support yourself is to ask for food and support yourself, and you must not use dishonorable and unfair means to seek property.
2. The hexagram of Yi Gua is to support oneself
"Yi: Zhenji. Watch Yi and ask for truth from your mouth." Maintain yourself and stick to the right path for good luck. Observing the living conditions in the world, everyone must support themselves by their own efforts. Only by living by their own efforts is the right path in the world. "Xiang" said: Yi. A gentleman should be careful in his words and moderate in his food.
3. The lines of Yi Gua are anti-plundering and environmentally friendly
The first line is "On the ninth day of the ninth lunar month: Sheer spirit turtle, watch me feast, fierce." Spirit turtle: It does not eat when it is subdued, and has nothing to seek from the world, so Smart, used for divination in ancient times, here it refers to wealth. It is dangerous to leave your own wealth and watch the food in my mouth that is envious and coveted. "Xiang" said: "Looking at me feasting, it is not expensive at all." This is not noble behavior.
The second line of the line is "62: Bump Yi, brush the sutra on the hill. Yi Zheng, fierce." Dian: Borrow for filling; Fu: Borrow here for Shun, for cutting, for work; Jing: for thoroughfare, Refers to Qianmo. The meaning of the whole sentence is: In order to fill the mouth with food, one should cultivate wasteland and open up fields. It is dangerous to conquer, attack, and rob other people's property in order to survive. "Xiang" says: Sixty-two is a sign of evil, and the behavior is out of character. Robbery is against human morality.
The third line of the line is "Six Three: Fu Yi, chastity and evil. Do not use it for ten years, there is no profit." Fu: Here it means violation and fu rebellion. It is dangerous to violate the method of self-reliance and self-sufficiency and lose the original way of justice. If you live by crooked ways, you will be unlucky for ten years and will never gain anything. People should not have greed that devours their nature, arrogance, extravagance and chaos. Once they become confused, they will never recover.
The fourth line of the line is "June 4th: It's auspicious to be in the same position. The tiger is eyeing it, and it wants to chase it away, no fault." In order to fill their mouths and support their families, it is normal and auspicious for people to pursue wealth. And there is nothing wrong with being eager, chasing profits, and competing fiercely. It is not wrong for tigers to target prey for food, but it is unnatural to attack and plunder the same species. Animals may compete for food, but humans are social animals and must help each other. Social managers must standardize social behavior, respect the way of self-cultivation, and comply with the rules of human survival. We will improve the social security system and standardize the social system so that the elderly can be provided for, the young can be educated, the sick can be treated, and have a roof over their heads, and continue to promote social stability, healthy development, and just, equitable, and sustainable development. We must strive to achieve fair rights, fair opportunities, and fair rules for every member of society, so that we can support the world and maintain social stability and long-term peace and order.
The fifth line of the line is "Six Five: Brush the Sutra, live in a chaste and auspicious place. Do not cross large rivers." Open up wasteland and cultivate land, live and work in peace and contentment, and keep integrity and auspiciousness in your actions. Never engage in danger, commit any crime, or commit any illegal crime.
The sixth line of the line is "Shangjiu: From Yi, Li, Ji. It will benefit the great rivers." From: follow. Follow the right path of life, it will be difficult at first and good in the end. It is helpful to wade through large rivers and resist risks. That is to say, follow the way of self-reliance and keep working hard, and make enough food and clothing by yourself. It is feasible wherever you go. "Xiang" says: From Yi, Li, Ji, there is great celebration.
IV. Summary
People must seek their own truth and rely on their own efforts. Relying on killing and looting to obtain temporary benefits will not last long.
Some people advocate that "a wolf who travels a thousand miles will end up eating meat, and a dog who travels a thousand miles will still eat shit", advocating the wolf nature and bloody nature. In fact, wolves share food within the wolf pack. Prairie Wolf During the period of raising cubs, when the male wolf preys on prairie mice and returns to the den, the female wolf will attack and force the male wolf to spit out food to support herself and her cubs. Killing each other among similar species is not only incompatible with human nature, but also inconsistent with the way of wolves and the way of heaven. "Hate others, laugh at others" is a bad character. Hatring the gains of others or promoting hatred of others' gains, treating one's own as one's own, and treating other people's as one's own is an incomplete or distorted personality. Other people's wealth is created by others, and you should create it yourself; if others don't have it for the time being, you should help others, and we should help each other to create wealth together; raising children is to continue human beings to focus on the future, and caring for the elderly is the foundation they have laid for the development of society.
Don't covet other people's wealth. A gentleman loves money and gets it in a proper way. He cannot steal, cheat or rob. He must obtain it through exchange. This is the bottom line of human nature. Relying on violence to seize or rob others is anti-human. The consensus of human existence is to fight against oppression, against power, against violent monopoly, and against plunder.
The more advanced a society is, the finer the division of labor. In ancient times, it was women who took care of the home and men who hunted and farmed. Later, there were workers such as carpenters, smelters and forgers, and pottery makers who specialized in making tools and utensils. Now there are engineers, mathematicians, construction engineers, investors, consultants, writers, literary and artistic workers, and even gardening, cleaning, logistics, takeout, water delivery, etc. Delivering meals, etc., everyone works hard and gets paid.
This is what the Yi Jing comparison revealed. Don’t worry about who is squeezing out whom. The products or services you provide meet the needs of others, and the products or services provided by others meet your needs. Exchange equally to see who is better. The result of market allocation is that capital and talents gather in low areas and gradually become balanced.
If it is human intervention, it is unfair who should do it. There are as many professions as there are human needs. Generally speaking, any profession or way of getting rich is acceptable as long as it does not force others, does not harm others, and does not violate the laws of nature. Although there is a market under market economy , the law must crack down on industries and behaviors that harm the interests of others, such as trafficking, misappropriation, drug trafficking, hunting and killing of rare animals, forced buying and selling, fraud, malicious breach of contract, killing chickens to obtain eggs, etc.
Hatred of the rich can only hate those who have become rich through corruption, bribery, or hegemony. Hatring others for their wealth gained through normal labor or business operations is against the laws of social development; all wealth gained through normal labor or business operations should be protected.
This is "asking for truth", this is "Sheer turtle, watching me feast, fierce."
