Some people think that riding a newly purchased motorcycle is done and there is no need to pay attention to it, but in fact, this is not the case. Especially for models purchased by free shipping, a preliminary inspection should be done, so that they will be more handy when riding.
1. Prepare to unbox . If you go to the store to pick up the car, you can skip this step because the store has already completed the operation. Of course, if you want to find some fun, you can also choose a vehicle that has not yet been assembled.
Currently, motorcycle packaging boxes are a bit varied. Some manufacturers use wooden keel , some are iron racks, and some are combination boxes with triple boards and iron edges. However, no matter what structure they are, they can only be said to have their own advantages. However, I feel that the iron racks will feel more ritual when disassembled. The wooden box is a bit like a coolie, and the combination box is a bit too simple.
When we face a packaged motorcycle, in addition to checking for large-scale damage on the surface, the entire disassembly process should be as gentle as possible. Don’t swing a sledgehammer at any time. Even if it is a wooden box, you should find the right position and do it slowly, otherwise it is easy to make mistakes and cause unnecessary damage. Therefore, when facing the unboxing of a motorcycle, simply put it as careful and don’t be too excited.
2. Liquid check . It is best not to rush to start the motorcycle after opening the box. Instead, you should support the large bracket and place it flat, and then check the relevant liquids. After all, it is easy to cause leakage of the vehicle during transportation due to some uncertain factors. After all, violent dismantling is no longer a secret. Therefore, we must check whether there is any leakage in engine oil , brake oil, antifreeze , and the newly added fuel.
3. Tighten nut . After checking the relevant liquids of the motorcycle, we should follow the trend to conduct a tightening inspection of the body screws and nuts other than the engine, especially the direction shaft, front, middle and rear shaft, as well as external plastic parts tightening bolts, etc., otherwise the screws may be removed in later use.
4. Chain width . In theory, manufacturers should adjust the amplitude of the chain to the specified value, but in fact, the upper and lower gaps of the chains when most models leave the factory are relatively small. Therefore, if your car also has the chain too tight, don’t think it’s too troublesome, and don’t think it’s loose after riding for two days. You should adjust it to a suitable range and check and adjust it in time. This will reduce the driving resistance of the vehicle to a certain extent.
5. Free travel . The free travel here mainly includes clutch, accelerator, and brake. They can be adjusted. It is not normal to be too small or too large. If you feel that the clutch is too tight, you can relax a little. If you think the accelerator gap is too large, you can also adjust it appropriately. Pulling the wire drum brake is also the same. You can achieve the desired effect by adjusting the wire.
6. Brake test . No matter whether your car is pulling the wire brake or front and rear disc brakes, you should do a preliminary test before going on the road to see how the feel and braking effect are. Don’t just find that there is no brake when you get on. Of course the probability of such an event is very small now, but it should be checked.
With the above preliminary inspection, then your newly bought motorcycle can have a preliminary experience in the venue. This is more ideal than riding immediately if you are anxious. So don’t be troublesome. Tighten the screws that should be tightened more, take a look at the liquid that should be checked, and adjust them, so that you can avoid some unnecessary troubles.
