On October 10, GAC Toyota's first e-TNGA pure electric mid-size SUV bZ4X was officially launched, with a total of five models launched, with prices of 199,800 to 287,800 yuan. It is commendable that the car is equipped with an efficient solar charging dome. According to the manufacturer, the power generation can be charged by smartphones about 159 times a day, and the power generation can be used for the vehicle to travel about 1,750km in a year. This selling point is quite attractive to users.
As a pure electric model, GAC Toyota bZ4X is equipped with a high-efficiency three-in-one motor system and a battery temperature control system to ensure the stability of the battery output power. Through a number of leading technologies such as optimizing aerodynamic design, creating a lightweight body, and adopting heat pump and air conditioning , which has significantly reduced energy consumption, its CLTC operating range can reach a pure electric range of up to 615km, and its energy consumption per 100 kilometers is only 11.6km. Among them, the four-wheel drive version is equipped with dual motors with a total output power of 160kW, and the acceleration is only 3.4 seconds from 0-50km/h.
Since it is an SUV, users still have some expectations for its passivity. The car is equipped with the X-MODE four-wheel drive off-road assist mode jointly developed by Toyota and Subaru , as well as the newly developed Grip-Control intelligent creeping mode. By fully leveraging the driving characteristics of the motor, while ensuring the handling of road driving, it also has off-road capabilities under certain complex road conditions.
The battery safety aspect that consumers are generally concerned about is the battery pack of the car adopts a structure of "cooling circuit isolating from the battery unit" and uses a high resistance value of coolant to prevent the coolant leakage in extreme cases and cause a short circuit and fire. In addition to pursuing the high safety of the battery itself, its body also adopts all-round collision response measures to ensure the safety of the battery pack from multiple aspects such as collision protection, road impact protection, and liquid leakage protection. A collision buffer structure with a width of 230mm is installed on both sides of the battery, and a 3.2mm aluminum bottom cover is installed below the battery to better protect the battery from collision impacts from all directions.
GAC Toyota bZ4X, created based on the exclusive platform of e-TNGA architecture, adopts many of the latest intelligent technologies and security technologies, including: equipped with 4 PVM cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars; equipped with Toyota's latest generation "TSS 3.0 Smart Travel Safety System"; supports the "digital key" function, seamlessly implementing convenient operations such as remote locking, locking, and starting the engine through a smartphone; and also a "smart parking assistant" that is particularly suitable for novice drivers, especially in narrow road conditions, bZ4X can be remotely controlled into the parking space through the mobile APP.
As a mid-size SUV, its length, width and height are 4690mm, 1860mm and 1650mm. The data is not outstanding, but the wheelbase reaches 2850mm, which means that the interior space should be relatively abundant, especially the rear longitudinal dimension is as long as 1000mm, which is equivalent to the D-class sedan .
