After two years of study, I found that it has always been in our work and life.
Work lean means "no waste". The company first advocated lean , but many people didn't understand or adapt. They felt that they didn't let it go, and they were reluctant to do things. That's because we have become accustomed to the past, and some habits were not easy to change, and reforms would inevitably experience pain. For example, in terms of electricity saving, in the lobby and corridors of the toll station area, at night, the lighting in the lobby and corridors of the toll station will be on even if no one is on, and the lamps of the toilet may be on all the time, and no one thinks this is a waste. Since lean management has been advocated, everyone is required to develop the habit of turning off the lights casually, and the lamps of the rooms, halls, corridors, and toilets of the uninhabited rooms, halls, corridors, and toilets should be turned off in time. At first, everyone felt very uncomfortable, but after a period of time, it was found that not only did it be bad, but it also saved a lot of electricity bills. Now everyone has developed the habit of turning off the lights casually, and it feels awkward if it doesn’t turn off the lights. Turning off the lights casually is just a small change, but it brings us a good habit, a lean concept, and a saving attitude. If you run this concept into every link in your work, our work can be completed more efficiently and better.
Life is "just right". People cannot live without three meals a day and canteen. Canteen management has always been the management focus of station area work because it is closely related to the lives of employees. In order to ensure that employees eat well and drink well without wasting, the station office combined with lean ideas and implemented a "meal report" system for three meals in the canteen. In the past, chefs cooked according to the number of on-duty employees, but every time there were employees wasted some food due to taste or other reasons. Since the implementation of the "meal report" system, the chef will release the menu for each meal in the group in advance, and the employees will report the number of people eating in the group. The chef will control the portion size of the meal based on the specific number of people eating. Each meal is basically done just right, eliminating the waste of food.
These details may not bring about earth-shaking changes, but they continue a habit and inherit a concept. As the saying goes, "Don't do good deeds without doing anything." The impact of a small change is infinite, it can make imperfect work perfect and make perfect work more accurate. (Liu Pei)
