Zhiji Auto officially announced that it will launch a new B-class SUV in 2023. Judging from the positioning and Zhiji’s existing product naming method, it is expected that the new car will be named Zhiji LS5. Referring to the price difference between the Zhiji L7 and Tesla Model Y, it is expected that the starting price of the LS5 will be around 280,000 yuan. After it is launched, it will compete with NIO ES6, Tesla Model Y and other models.
Taking the Zhiji LS7 currently on pre-sale as a reference, it is expected that the smaller LS5 will also be equipped with watchtower lidar, multiple visual cameras, ultrasonic radar, millimeter wave radar and other hardware configurations for high-end intelligent driving assistance. The interior of the new car is also expected to provide a YAT cruise-type half-width steering wheel and a traditional steering wheel, equipped with a through-type screen and equipped with an IM OS intelligent interaction system.
It is expected that the Zhiji LS5 will be larger in size than the NIO ES6, and will be available in single-motor rear-drive and dual-motor four-wheel drive versions. It is expected that the new car will be equipped with 90kWh and 100kWh ternary lithium battery packs, and the cruising range will exceed 600km under CLTC conditions.
