Recently, at an electric drive technology outlook conference held by Porsche , more details of the pure electric version of the second-generation Porsche Macan (parameters | inquiry) were released for the first time. The new car will be the first SUV model of the Porsche brand based on the PPE platform (Premium Platform Electric). In addition to the dual-motor four-wheel drive system, it will also be equipped with an 800V battery architecture and high-voltage fast charging technology in the future. The new generation of Macan pure electric version is scheduled to start delivery in 2024.

PPE platform supports two driving forms of rear-drive or four-wheel drive, and the new generation of Macan will adopt the four-wheel drive layout of front and rear dual motors. Both motors will adopt the new generation of hairpin winding permanent magnet synchronous motor system. By optimizing the winding structure and cooling system, the output function of the motor is stronger. Currently, the official revealed that the maximum power of the dual-motor version of the system will reach 450 kilowatts and the peak torque will exceed 1,000 Nm.

In addition, in order to achieve better driving control and sportiness, in addition to being equipped with a maximum 22-inch sports wheel and using a counterweight ratio of 48%:52% front and rear centers, the new Macan pure electric version will also be equipped with a rear wheel steering system, with a maximum rear steering angle of about 5°. When the speed is less than 80km/h, the steering angle of the front and rear wheels is opposite. This design can reduce the turning radius by about 1 meter; when the speed exceeds 80km/h, the steering angle of the front and rear wheels is the same, providing better stability when turning at high speed or changing lanes. In other configurations, the future flagship Macan may be equipped with the Porsche Torque Guidance System upgraded version (PTV Plus) and the Porsche Traction Management System (PTM). For different driving conditions, the system automatically adjusts the torque output of the left and right rear wheels through an electronically controlled differential lock on the rear axle. In addition, when facing non-paved ground, the PTM system will also optimize the driving force distribution of different wheels to improve the ability to escape. In terms of suspension, the Macan pure electric version will also be equipped with the Porsche active suspension management system (PASM) and air shock absorber. In addition to soft and hard adjustment, the system will automatically adjust the body height according to the driving mode and speed. Reducing the body during high-speed cruising will help improve the aerodynamic effect and extend the battery life.
, the same as Taycan, the new Macan will be equipped with the next generation of 800V battery architecture. Its power battery group consists of 12 square modules, with a total capacity of about 100kWh. If a dedicated fast charging pile is used, it only takes 25 minutes to charge from 5% to 80%, and the charging efficiency is much higher than the current Taycan model. In addition, the car also supports "combined charging". By disconnecting the corresponding high-voltage switches in the battery pack, the entire battery will be divided into two parts and will be replenished by two charging piles, which will greatly improve the charging efficiency
