Recently, the application information for the new car application catalog released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has appeared in the latest batch of new car application catalogs. The new car will be named Haoyue L. It is a "big 7-seat flagship SUV" launched by Geely for the medium and large SUV market. It is built on Geely's latest new mid-size SUV platform. The entire series is equipped with a 2.0TD engine standard and is expected to be officially launched within the year.
From the declaration picture, Haoyue L uses a new large-size vertical front grille, with an integrated through-type LED taillight and dual exhaust tail trim pipes at the rear. The entire body lines are tough and powerful, demonstrating the tough temperament of a medium and large SUV, and the visual effect is very domineering.
In terms of body size, Haoyue L is 4860×width 1910×height 1840mm, which is 15mm, 10mm and 60mm respectively compared to the current Haoyue, and the wheelbase is also 10mm long to 2825mm. Compared with the mainstream mid-to-large SUVs on the market at present, Haoyue L has an absolute advantage in body size and space experience.
In terms of power, Haoyue L will be equipped with a 2.0TD engine in the entire series, with a maximum power of 160kW and a maximum torque of 325N·m. The power parameters are consistent with the Drive-E series 2.0T turbocharged engine. In terms of suspension system, Haoyue L uses the combination of front McPherson independent suspension + rear multi-link independent suspension, making the driving experience more comfortable.
At present, Geely has launched a number of flagship-level compact SUVs such as Xingyue L and Boyue L, but in the field of medium and large SUVs, a heavyweight product has always been missing. The launch of Haoyue L will undoubtedly fill this gap. As for how the market will perform in the future, we may wish to wait and see!
