In fact, the reason is very simple. Because SUV models are becoming more and more popular among consumers, the sales volume of sedans is not as good as before. Mondeo in the European market is the first to bear the brunt, and then Focus is not immune. Of course, the electrification trend is also an important factor. Although the third-generation Focus has launched a pure electric version, basically every generation of chassis only considers the needs of internal combustion engines, and re-developing an electric vehicle platform suitable for Focus requires huge costs. It is naturally difficult to realize the funds without the support of sales volume.
However, Mondeo and Focus have only disappeared from the European market. They are still sold in some Asian markets. For example, in the domestic automobile market, Mondeo and Focus are still sold. Not only that, Changan Ford's Mondeo also released a major facelift this year, which seems to be preparing to make a big splash in the Chinese auto market. This shows that, at least in the short term, Ford's sedan models will not disappear in China, and consumers are also looking forward to the next generation of Focus products.
