Its first model, codenamed E03, is positioned as a pure electric B-class sedan and is expected to be released as early as the second half of 2023.

As early as February this year, Chery announced an investment plan totaling 21 billion yuan in the field of new energy passenger vehicles. The official name was the HW Industrial Chain Cooperation Project, which sparked a wave of speculation about the cooperation between Chery and Huawei.
However, Brother Jiang believes that cooperation between Chery and Huawei is indeed a good choice. Why do you say that?
At present, new energy has become a general trend. In addition to intensively launching new models, domestic brands have also launched their high-end electric vehicle brands in order to seize the opportunity. For example, BYD launches "Star", Great Wall launches "Salon", Changan launches " Avita ", Geely has " Jikrypton ", and Chery is still blank in this field. .
Although Chery's technology is well-known at present, it mainly relies on the "hard power" of engines. In the field of new energy, Chery's "halo" is about to fail. It is understood that Huawei currently has three modes of cooperation with OEMs, namely Tire1, HuaweiInside and Huawei Intelligent Select .
Among them, the Tire1 mode means Huawei serves as a supplier, supplying various types of Huawei self-developed hardware to OEMs; the Inside mode provides a complete full-stack solution that integrates software and hardware such as smart cockpits and autonomous driving; the Smart Selection mode provides The Inside model goes a step further, and partner products equipped with Huawei's smart car solutions have full access to Huawei's retail channels.
Of course, future cars will definitely focus more on "intelligence", and Huawei has a technological foundation, which will play a strong role in promoting Chery's future progress and development. However, Chery should hope to maintain a certain degree of autonomy while accelerating the development of smart electric vehicles.
