A few days ago, the news agency learned from overseas media that Volkswagen will release the new Tiguan (Tiguan) on May 12. Last year, Volkswagen released the mid-term facelifted Tiguan in Europe, while the domestic Tiguan L and Allspace models in the American market were not updated synchronously. The upcoming new car will be extended on the basis of the European version and will use the name of the North American version of the Tiguan Allspace. The new car is produced by Mexico and supplied to North American, South American and European markets. The domestic model continues to be named "Tiguan L" and is produced and sold by and SAIC Volkswagen .
The appearance of the new car will continue the design of the overseas Tiguan, but the body size will be lengthened to a certain extent, the wheelbase will be 22cm longer than that of the ordinary Tiguan, the luggage compartment space will reach 1920L, and it will provide a 7-seat layout. Referring to the 2681mm wheelbase of the currently imported European version of the Tigua model, the wheelbase of the Tiguan Allspace may reach 2901mm, surpassing the domestic version of the Tiguan L (wheelbase 2791mm).

The main changes are concentrated on the front face. The size of the front grille is larger, and the lamp groups on both sides adopt a new design. For exaggeration, the overall style is more sporty, and two appearance packages are still available. The side of the body adopts a double waistline design, and the rear changes are small. The body size of the new car is 4733 (4735) * 1839 (1859) * 1673 (1677) mm, and the wheelbase is 2791 mm.
Although there are no photos of the interior of the new car yet, if nothing else happens, the new car will also be replaced with Volkswagen's new family-style interior, or it will be equipped with a 10-inch central control screen with an embedded MIB3 infotainment system. Safety is also expected to be equipped with Volkswagen's new Travel Assist driver assistance function, which can provide full-speed range adaptive cruise and lane centering functions.In terms of power, the new Tiguan L will continue to be equipped with 1.4T and 2.0T high/low engines with maximum power of 110kW, 137kW and 162kW respectively.
