I am confused

I have been cultivating my mind

Because I really like the translation of "Four Trainings of Liaofan", I bought two other books "Diamond Sutra Mind Training Lessons" by the same author.

I am purely curious about "Diamond Sutra". The scripture is obscure and has no phonetic notation, so I can't read it. However, the author's writing is simple and comfortable to read. He also has a phonetic version very considerately. I like that he used a story-telling method to write this famous Buddhist scripture, which makes people no longer find it difficult, so they can understand it.

The mentality you need to prepare for reading the Diamond Sutra is:

Empty your mind, put aside all kinds of habits and new ideas, and read it with an open mind.

The Diamond Sutra does not have any conclusion. It is just an inspiration and a guide to liberate us from all prejudices and gain a peaceful power that is not disturbed by the outside world.

"When this power fills your daily life, you will no longer be afraid of failure, sickness, unemployment, death, getting lost in success, and boredom in gaining. When you are no longer anxious, no longer afraid, no longer worried, no longer afraid, if you stay awake at all times If you have penetrating insight at all times, then no matter what you are doing, you will devote yourself to it, and no matter what the result is, you will be full of joy. "

When you don't get it, you want to get it; after you get it, you want to keep it; the desire to get it and the desire to keep it are basic human desires. If you want to gain, you will be afraid of failure; if you want to hold on, you will be afraid of losing.

How to avoid anxiety?

Non-attachment: No longer attached to all objects, all external objects will no longer pose uncertainty or even threat to you, you will no longer have uneasiness, worry, fear, and there will no longer be anxiety.

When you are not attached to everything, everything outside will not make you anxious, but will make you face the truth, return to yourself, and fill you with creative vitality.

You will no longer live in anxiety, you will live in freedom and creativity.

I have a feeling that I read a lot of books in order to reach a state of inner freedom, solve my own confusion, or find some kind of resonance to soothe my inner loneliness.

There are many states in a person's life, quiet, lively, noisy, and secluded. They are all just different states of life. In this case, each state should not be lived out in a lively way, nor should it be stuck in a certain fixed state.

But freedom is what almost everyone yearns for, because there are too many constraints in life, too many to let go, and too many to ask for.

has a very serious explanation of "smart" and "wisdom" in the book. The book believes that the means and strategies used to make a living are just smart, so smart is called "little".

Wisdom in Buddhism means: understanding all the truths in the world and having no nostalgia for anything in the world, but only pursuing the highest spiritual realm. Therefore, it is called "Great Wisdom".

The wisdom mentioned in Buddhism deals with how to get to the other side, not the worldly affairs. Once you figure out how to get to the other side, you can only deal with all the things in the world with little skill.
