The temple I am going to introduce today is located in Daha Village, Wuping Town, Zhouqu County, Gannan Prefecture. Its full name is Daha Temple Zaxi Gebailin. It is the building at the highest point here. Just like the Potala Palace, the height of the urban buildings must not exceed it. The same is true, because they bring together the spiritual beliefs and firm beliefs of all believers and Tibetans. Therefore, status is supreme.

This temple was built in the late Ming Dynasty according to relevant documents. It was built by two monks and villagers in the village who returned from studying scriptures in Tibet. It has been several times over the past four hundred years. During the Qing Dynasty, the Great Living Buddha Jia Muyang II visited the temple to preside over the consecration ceremony. During the Cultural Revolution, the temple was abandoned and served as a warehouse for a long time. The temple we are seeing now is a new look after its reconstruction in 1995.

Daha Temple Zaxi Gebailin

Daha Zhaxi Gebailin was once one of the 108 temples in Labrang Monastery, the world Tibetan studies in Xiahe, and is a Tibetan Buddhist Gelug sect temple. The main building of the temple is three-story, facing north and south, and is a typical Tibetan temple style with a double-eave roof with a civil structure. There are more than a hundred prayer drums outside the temple. Every time the prayer drum is turned, it is equivalent to chanting the scriptures once. Turning the prayer drum is also the best way to eliminate disasters and avoid disasters and accumulate merits. There is a gate in the southeast corner of the temple and a back door in the northwest corner.

There are two-story bungalows on the inside of the temple, and the ground floor is an office, a monk's house and a storage room. In recent years, temple fair activities have been held in the middle room on the second floor. During the temple fair, women in the village would fast and recite the six-character mantra in the house. That is what is called lyrics. The main center of the temple is a square. Generally, literary and artistic performances are held in the village during the Chinese New Year, such as the traditional dance of the Dodi dance of the Tibetan people in Zhouqudibu and the ancient art singing of the flowers. There is a simmering platform directly south of the square, with cypress and willow trees planted around the square. The connection between the square and the hall is several steps. On the steps is the fence outside the temple hall. Pushing open the fence and entering the main entrance of the hall. Painted murals of the four kings on both sides of the main entrance. Speaking of this, which four heavenly kings are? Eastern Kingdoms King Southern King Western Kings Western Kings and Northern Kings Multi-Wen Kings . These four kings show their magical powers and perform their duties. I hope all kings will bless the country and the people and the people will be safe and have good weather.

Push open the main entrance of the temple and enter the middle of the hall. The position is opposite to this position is the gilded statue of Master Tsongkhapa . In fact, the Buddha statue of Master Tsongkhapa is placed in the middle of all Gelug temples. On the left side of the main entrance of the hall, there is a painted mural of Great Weide Vajra , which is called LGB in Tibetan. Then how powerful is he? He is the most powerful god in Tibetan Buddhism, and is the incarnation of the wrathful appearance of Manjushri Bodhisattva . It is said that the god of death Yan Motian once slaughtered innocent people with the image of a ox head. In order to defeat him, Manjushri Bodhisattva defeated Yan Mowang with boundless magic power. Therefore, he is also known as the Vajra who can conquer death. It has great power and is blessed by his blessing. Not only can he eliminate all bad people and things, but he can also increase wisdom and blessings, increase wealth and life. Follow me and hope that Dawei King Kong will bless every friend who watches this video with all his wishes come true and be healthy. In addition, there are Sakyamuni Buddha, White Tara, Green Tara, , White Umbrella, Gai Buddha, , Manjushri Bodhisattva, , Thousand-Handed Guanyin, , Horse Head Mingwang and other halls, and there are many butter lamps, , and there is also a set of electric butter lamps composed of 108 light bulbs. It is lit for an hour at a time. Each household registers the name when offering lamps, and donates 10 yuan at a time to pray for blessings and blessings. On the west side of the main hall, there is a wooden ladder that can climb to the second floor. In the middle of the second floor is a semi-enclosed pavilion with murals of Thirty-five Buddhas. On the left side of the attic is a smaller Buddhist temple enshrined in many Buddha statues, and a pair of sika deer antlers. A gilded double deer Falun stands in the center of the balcony on the second floor. It is a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism. There is a Dharma wheel in the middle and two deer next to it, indicating that Buddha first turned the Dharma wheel in deer garden , conveying the good wishes of peace and protection. Whenever a temple fair period occurs, the lamas gather here to blow the white snail horn, the third floor of the hall is completely sealed and has no import and exit.

There are many Buddhist instruments in the temple, such as Dharma drums, copper chen , copper cymbals, bronze mirrors, Dharma numbers, snails, etc. There are also the Tripitaka " Ganzhuer " in the temple currently, and there are only 7.8 lamas, and three of them are in the Labrang Monastery of Xiahe all year round. I heard from the older generation that there were 30 lamas in the village before liberation. In the early period of the Cultural Revolution, there were masks of Tibetan opera, and of course there were also temple management committees. The temple management committee had a director and deputy director of temple management committees. The village would rotate a lama to serve as the presidency every year, and the term of office was one year. There were several banners issued by the county cultural and educational bureau in the temple.

Since my ignorant and unknown childhood, I have been infinitely devotion to Daha Temple. The solemn Buddhist temple is a safe haven in the depths of my soul. The golden prayer drum is the door to good deeds for all the old and young people in the village. When I tilted the prayer drum with my hands over and over again on the prayer drum outside the hall, infinite joy and peace arose in the depths of my soul, and focus on the present with my thoughts and thoughts, and do not be happy with things or be sad with myself. I have stood in the center of the hall countless times and kowtowed to Master Tsongkhapa and all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to make wishes, praying for the country and the people, good weather, and good health for the family, and no illness or disaster. In recent years, I have prayed for peace in the world and the epidemic will soon disappear.

Daha Temple has witnessed the pious faith of more than ten generations after hundreds of years of storm. It has witnessed the magnificent social changes from the late Ming Dynasty to the New China. The past has dissipated in the clouds and smoke and drowned in the ashes of time. Only a few fragments are recorded in books and circulated through oral transmission. Time has never been too fond of a certain moment, but for us, what remains unchanged is that the moment when Daha Temple was built has never stopped. Oommani Bame Hum.
