Zen Master Xuansha Master Bei Zongyi (835-908), 5th generation monk at the end of the Tang Dynasty, the Dharma heir of Zen Master Xuefeng Yicun, whose common surname is Xie, is from Min County, Fuzhou. He is good at fishing and often boats on the Nantai River. In the early years of Xiantong in the Tang Dynasty, when he was thirty years old, he suddenly admired Zen Master Furong Lingxue and went to Kaiyuan Temple in Yuzhang to receive the gift. After that, he became taciturn and diligent in his practice. He practiced with a cloth and a matte matte, and often sat in a banquet all day long. Because of his ascetic practice, he was called "Bitou Tu". He is as close as a master and disciple with his fellow disciple. The combination of strength will lead to the mystery. I read the Lengyan again and found out that the metaphysics of various places come to help me. He first lived in Meixi Puying Temple, and later moved to Xuansha Mountain. He has been in charge of the situation for more than 30 years and has more than 800 apprentices. Liang Kaiping passed away in the second year of his life, and he lived for seventy-four years. There are three volumes of quotations passed down from generation to generation, specifically called "A Master of Xuansha Sect in Fuzhou", also known as "Quotes of Xuansha". Master Bei and Zen Master Xuefeng Yicun are brothers of the same school, and have both been close to Zen Master Furong Lingxu. However, judging from the cause and effect of enlightenment, Zen Master Xuefeng is his teacher of Dharma. Because Master Bei is known for his asceticism, Zen Master Xuefeng often calls him Beitou Tuo.

 One day, Zen Master Xuefeng asked Master Bei, "Who is Beitou?"

  The master Bei said, "I will never deceive others."

 The next day, Zen Master Xuefeng called Master Bei to come again and tested him, "Why not go to Beitou!"

  The master Bei said, "Damo cannot come to the East Land, and the Second Patriarch will not go to the West."

  The master Xuefeng called Master Bei again and said, "Why don't you go to the east?"

  As soon as he heard this, Zen Master Xuefeng called him yes.

  Zen Master Houxuefeng stayed in the mountain to open the Dharma, and Zen Master Bei followed it. While he worked diligently to help Zen Master Xuefeng establish a temple, he followed the crowd to ask for help, regardless of the morning. Later, when I read " Shurangama Sutra ", I suddenly realized my mind. From then on, Zen Master Shi Bei was quick and quick, and he responded to the answers, all of which were in line with the Confession of the Sutra. Any scholars from all directions must come to ask for help from him if they have not decided. Even against Zen Master Xuefeng, he was unwilling to let him go. Zen Master Xuefeng once exclaimed, "There is another person from Beitou Tuo."

 One day, Zen Master Xuefeng came to the hall and said, "If you want to understand this matter, it is like an ancient mirror on the stage. Hu came and Hu appeared, and Han came and Han appeared." As soon as he finished speaking, Zen Master Bei asked outstandingly, "What happened when he suddenly encountered a bright mirror?"

  Zen Master Xuefeng said, "Hu and Han were both invisible."

  Shi Bei Zen Master said, "The old monk's heels are still not on the ground."

In 870 AD, under the persuasion of his classmate Zen Master Xingshi, Zen Master Yicun came to Xuefeng Mountain, Minhou County, Fuzhou City, Fujian to preach the Dharma. After six years of hard work, he finally created Yingtian Xuefeng Temple in the mountains.

, Master Bei also followed Master Yicun to Xuefeng Mountain all the way, and helped Master Yicun to establish his foundation with great effort. Even if he worked from morning to night, Master Bei never said that he had worked hard, and he was often so busy that he didn't even care about food.

After the construction of Xuefeng Temple, people from the rivers and lakes came to the temple to visit. Of course, Zen Master Bei was not idle either. He also asked for advice early and evening, hoping that he would realize the truth as soon as possible.

On this day, Zen Master Yicun led the monks in the temple to go out to reclaim wasteland and open fields. During the cultivation process, Zen Master Yicun saw a snake, and then Zen Master Yicun picked up the snake with a stick and greeted everyone, "Look, look." After that, Zen Master Yicun cut the snake into two pieces with a sickle.

Master Bei did not say a word, but went forward and took the dead snake aside with a stick, and then continued to reclaim the land, without looking back at the snake.

When Zen Master Yicun saw it, he couldn't help but exclaim, "How handsome."

After Zen Master Shi Bei was born, he first lived in Puyingyuan, and later stopped in Xuansha, opened the Dharma and met the crowd. He was diligent and tireless, and the jungle in the world was all respectful. The prince and the prince of Fujian were judged and were also waiting to be given a teacher's courtesy and were given a purple robbery, and were named Master Zongyi.Master Bei was silent in the Houliang Kaiping Wuchen (908 AD), and was seventy-four years old. Master Bei transformed into Fujian for more than 30 years, and there were more than 700 Zen couples. The first person who obtained the Dharma was Luo Han Guichen.

Master Bei not only has a clear sect, but also has a good understanding of the teachings of sutras and treatises. Therefore, after he lived in the mountain, in addition to pointing out directly, he often spoke without hesitation and gave in to the point of giving in. Many of his French teachings seem approachable to beginners, and are also an introductory guide for those who practice Zen and Taoism. Now I will pick a French word, as follows:

  "The Buddha's path is idle and has no way of journey. No door is the door to liberation; the earth's meaning is the Taoist's intention. It is not in the three realms, so it cannot rise and fall. Establishing a deviant truth is not a creation. Movement will arise from the foundation of life and death, and quiet will become a drowsy land. Movement and stillness will disappear, and both movement and stillness will disappear. Movement and stillness will disappear. Conceal the Buddha's nature. It must be used temporarily to the dust and environment, like dead wood and cold ashes, and it will be used temporarily without losing its proper function. The mirror reflects all images, and does not confuse the light. Birds fly in the sky without being mixed with empty colors. Therefore, there is no image in the ten directions, and the whereabouts of the three realms are gone. The moment of coming and going, without staying at the middle. There is no drum sound in the bell, and there is no sound in the drum. The bells and drums do not intersect, and every sentence does not come and go. Like a hero spreads his arms, he does not rely on other power. How can the teacher seek a partner? The sky is completely shady, how can it be penetrated? A piece of light has not been blurred. If you come here, your body is silent, the sun is full of flames, and the boundless appearance is endless. The perfect awakening of the air is unshakable, swallowing the universe and the universe is shining completely.

  "The Buddha was born, the original (original) has no entry and exit, the name and appearance have no body, and the Tao is originally as so. Farr is naive, different corrections. As long as you are idle, you will not be ignorant of your role, and you will not get involved in dust and mud. There is no trace of it in it, and he is the family of the Demon King. The first and the last sentences are difficult for scholars to deal with. So on that day, 80,000 doors will be forever eliminated from life and death, just like the shadow of the moon in the autumn pond, the sound of the bell in the quiet night, and the attack will not disperse without any loss, and the turbulence will not disperse. It is still a matter of life and death. Where the Taoist walks, it is like fire turning into ice, but it will never turn into ice. Once the arrow leaves the string, there is no return momentum. So I refused to stay in the cage and didn't turn back. The ancient sages did not arrange it, and there is no place to go. If you reach this point, you will reach the mysterious step by step, and you will not be evil and righteous, and you will not be conscious, and you will not be wise. If you move, you lose your priest, and you will be confused. The two vehicles are trembling with courage, and the tenth earth is terrified. The way of speaking is gone, and the way of speaking is destroyed. It is straight to , Sakyamuni , and the name of Dukou is in Viaya. Subhuti sings without sayings but reveals the truth, and the Buddhist sings are heard and the rain flowers are raining. If I see you before, I wonder why there is no place to live? After leaving and coming, there is no limit, no matter how long it is, the mind is completely unconscious, and it is not solemn, and it is originally pure. I use words and smiles, and I understand everything everywhere, and I don’t have any less.

  "At present, people do not understand the truth, they are involved in matters and dust, and they are stained everywhere, and they are bound to the top. Even if they understand, the dust realm is different, and their names are not real, so they want to concentrate their minds and minds, collect things and return to emptiness, close their eyes and hide their eyes, and finally there will be thoughts. They will break them up and think carefully before they can be born, even if they are stopped. Such an opinion is that the heresy is in the empty world, and the soul is not dispersed. They are in a dilemma, and they are dead. They are in a dark place, without ignorance, and they are blocked from ears and steal bells, and they are deceived by themselves. This is not the difference here, nor is it the gate of the gate, and every sentence appears, and they cannot be discussed, and they are not involved in writing and ink. They are originally in the world, and they are originally in the world, and they are not ranked. They are only known as monks, after all, they have no trace. Trace. True like an ordinary saint, hell, human and heaven, is just a way to heal the mad son. The void has not changed yet, how can the great way rise and fall? If you understand, you will never leave the realm. If you come here, you will not stand. If you make your mind in the sentence, you will not drown and kill people. If you go out, you will fall into the demon world. If you go upward, you will not arrange it, just like a flame furnace without hiding mosquitoes. This principle is originally flat, so why should you eliminate it? Movement and stillness are the true way to liberation. If you don’t force yourself, you will establish a good truth. If you come here, you will not accept it at all, and your point will be bad. Even if you come out, you will not be able to make a word. If you stand for a long time, take care of it! "
