"Collection" means chorus. It was difficult to write in the ancient world. Most Buddhist scriptures were passed down through recitation. In order to ensure that the Buddha's doctrines can be spread correctly, monks gathered together to recite the scriptures together. During the recitation, they discovered the fallacy in the name of most people.
About the 1st century AD, in an ancient India, the fourth Buddhist scriptures were held in the city of Kashimiro, a Buddhist world. A group of monks were lay and monks. They were dissatisfied with the fact that they were full of Buddhist sects and were conservative and strict. In order to express their new ideas, they incorporated some of their own ideas into their previous ideas and organized several new Buddhist scriptures. The concept conveyed in these new Buddhist scriptures is indeed different from the concept conveyed by previous Buddhism. In order to distinguish it from previous Buddhism, the new Buddhist philosophy was named "Mahayana", while the previous Buddhist philosophy was called "Haikaanut".
This time the collection is very famous in the history of Buddhism, because the sutras, laws and theories compiled this collection have a complete text version, which is engraved on some red copper pieces, and then sealed in a stone mailbox to build a high tower to collect it. Therefore, after this collection, Buddhism has a complete text version of Buddhist scriptures. However, the records of this collection are only found in Theravada Buddhism, but not in the Northern Buddhism because the Northern Buddhism does not recognize it.
It is very coincidental that in such a historical period, "Mahayana" was introduced to China and continued to grow and grow in China, and finally became prosperous. Therefore, the name "Mahayana Buddhism" is very popular in China and is also the main Buddhist thought accepted by our China.
