From Hongchunping , cross the Changshou Bridge, steeply climb the "Ninety-Nine Turns" and climb the Lingxiao Pavilion, turn the steep stone staircase, and then go to Xianfeng Temple.

Xianfeng Temple was founded in the 18th year of Zhiyuan in the Yuan Dynasty (1281 AD) and was called Yanqing Temple at that time. Located under the Xianfeng Rock at an altitude of 1752 meters, the door is opposite to the top of the Huayan and the back is against Jiu Lao Peak. In the 40th year of Wanli in the Ming Dynasty (1612 AD), Zen Master Benjiong was rebuilt and was named Xianfeng Zen Forest. It was destroyed by fire in the 16th year of Chongzhen in the Ming Dynasty (1643 AD). It was rebuilt again in the 44th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1779 AD) and was famous as Xianfeng Temple. The temple building is composed of the Immortal Emperor Platform, the Maitreya Hall, the Daxiong Hall, the Relics Hall, and the Four-Show Mountain House. The roof of the temple is covered with si-tiles and aluminum-skin , which is set off by the ancient trees of green vines, so it is known as "Blue Sea Gui Jade".

Maitreya Hall, stone pillars are double eaves, and there is a "Xianfeng Zen Forest" hanging on it. It is Wuxing Wang Zhen's book. There are two couplets at the gate of the hall, one of which is: "The temple is called Xianfeng, and the cave is adjacent to the nine elders; the gate welcomes the Buddha's top, and the three emperors live on the platform." It was written by the Qing poet Lu Tingdong, and a novel book. Another couplet: "Ask the Nine Old Masters where the flying came, a blue cloud and a clear sky; I understand the three vehicles and look at the sky from afar, and the bright moon in the four mountains is full of Buddha's light." Written by the poet Liu Xianxing , the late Qing Dynasty poet. A couplet in the hall: "All people have a desire, and they can travel thousands of miles everywhere when they are wading through water and climbing mountains; they are unbiased throughout their lives, and they are happy to forget profit and think about righteousness, and they are all friends." Although the author is unknown, the couplet contains the philosophy of establishing one's own affairs, so many people copied it.

The third hall is called the Relics Hall, also known as the Baye Hall. There is a copper relic pagoda in the hall, which is composed of forging parts. It is a total of seven levels, with a height of 3.5 meters. It is covered with gold and is radiant. The pagoda contains monk Qingfu from Longhua Temple in Shanghai, Shanghai, and went to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) three times to Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) to retrieve 15 Buddha bones relics, Bay Leaf Sutra 3 volumes, and 5 Jade Buddhas. I left 3 relics and 2 volumes of Bay Leaf Sutra to Xianfeng Temple. The monks of the temple and Hailiangte built relics halls and relics pagodas to collect them. There are two couplets in the hall, which summarize the essence of history.

One:

Incense makes a connection, you don’t have to sail the mountain, you can get the secret of the West;

Buddhist scriptures leave consequences, and from then on, the red text and green characters will be written forever in the Mahayana Zen of the East.

The second:

Jiu Lao Yanxia, in Xiaoyao Cave;

A collection of classics, storage building.

Chen You, "Nine Old Pictures" and "One Bell Picture of Ten Thousand Valleys" are covered with two scrolls. It was written by Japanese painters Tian Kuan and Songtao in the second year of Tongzhi in the Qing Dynasty (1863 AD). It is the freehand landscape in Chinese ink paintings, and the "Bada Shanren" in the early Qing Dynasty. It has elegant style.

There is a Jiulian Pond on the left side of the temple, which was drilled into rocks in the 27th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1901 AD). The water is as clear as a mirror, and the clear shadows shine on people. It does not overflow in summer and does not freeze in winter, making it one of the famous springs in the mountains.

Around the Jiulian Pond, there is Jiu Lao Cave. Legend has it that there were nine old men in ancient times, so it was named after it. The sound of water in the deep valley below the cave is gurgling to form the Heilong Pond, which is the source of Heilongjiang River in the mountains.

behind the temple, there is an continuous fragrant tree . The tree has been over 550 years old, the tree is 26 meters high and the bust is 5.1 meters. It combines ancient and famous trees, but it is really hard to see it elsewhere.

Not far from the temple, there is a stone pavilion called "Xianhuangtai". It is said that Huangdi Xuanyuan came to the mountain to visit the road. He met the Emperor's real person here and was named after it. The rock wall behind the pavilion was engraved with "Jiu Lao Xian Cave". Legend has it that there was a cave here that connects to Jiu Lao Cave. The Emperor is one of the ancient emperors of China. "Records of the Grand Historian: The Annals of Qin Shihuang" records that "there were Emperors of Heaven, Earth Emperor , and Human Emperor ." Therefore, this platform is also called the "Three Emperors Platform".

There is a huge stone next to the road that stands on the horizontal road. It is about 10 meters high and about 14 meters long. The stone is engraved with "Xian Gui" and "Namo Samantabhadra Bodhisattva ". The former was written by Zhao Xi, a calligrapher of the Qing Dynasty, and the latter was written by Zhou Zuozhang. All of them are regular scripts of Banshu , with vigorous brushstrokes and rigorous structures. They can be regarded as a rare masterpiece in real scripts .

Around the huge rock, Emei Mountain specialty Dharma involucoma grows. Buddhist disciples call it "elephant ear flower", and the world botany community calls it "Chinese Pigeon Tree ", which is densely forested here, with hundreds of acres across. There are "Samanthadra Line" and "Samantha cuisine" under the forest. The former can help the world and live the people, while the latter can be used as delicacies on the table. Every grass and tree are stained with layers of Buddhist culture.

is a little lower than Changshou Rock, and the waterfall flows down, which is the source of the Bailong River in the mountains. Cross Changshou Bridge and climb Changshou Slope. There is 公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公公 According to legend, Dou Yi of Han rode a dragon to heaven here, and some people met here several years later, so he built this temple to meet him. Two rocks behind the temple are erected, and friends are erected in a cave. It is said that they are the former residence of Dou Yi, Han Dynasty. The original mountain road must be penetrated into the temple, making people feel that "there is another world in it." The fresh vegetables stored in the cave remain unchanged for a long time. Even if the withered fruits and vegetables are placed in it, they can still be fresh again after one day, which makes it a bit "immortal" spirit.

Xianfeng Temple is located in a deep valley surrounded by peaks. It is low and clouds are full of fog. The mountains are always in the presence or absence, like the immortal cave in the mythical world. Xianfeng Temple, Yuxian Temple, Xianfeng Rock, Xiangui Stone... are all touched with the word "xian", and everything is "xian".
