The ninth lesson of "The University" has been aired. The master said that only after the body and mind are unified can your family have the opportunity to become better and be able to "manage the family". This article excerpts some of the content and shares it with you:
Lecture 9 mainly tells us, "The so-called "sincere family is cultivating one's body." You see, the previous one is talking about self-cultivation in uprightness of the mind. After the mind is correct, the body will be well "cultivated". Only after the body and mind are unified can your home have the opportunity to become better and be able to "manage the family". This "simultaneousness" is very important. If an individual's life has not been cultivated and his body and mind has not been cultivated well, it is difficult to make this family unite. What does "Qi" mean in
? Qi has four pronunciations, pronounced qí, also pronounced jì, also pronounced zī, and also pronounced zhāi. Then the earliest meaning of "Qi" is that wheat ears grow, string by string. Each bunch of wheat ears is in sequence, and it grows almost the same, and is relatively neat. Therefore, the "Qi" of oracle bone inscriptions is a circle in the middle, one on top is like a wheat horn, and then a handle at the bottom, so three are drawn. "Three" means many, and there are many wheat ears growing one by one, and those three represent them. Each one is full, which is called "Qi".
"Qi" is also called Zhai, the "Zhai" of vegetarian rice. What is vegetarian rice? When the rice grows ripe, it takes something in it and can serve it for vegetarian food and we can have a meal. That is to say, this is fruitful. So are there any results in your life? Have your home achieved success? Are the rice ears full or not? If the rice ears are not full, it will not grow intact.
"Qi" originally means rice ears, but later it was extended to the nature of "Qi". For example, if a tree grows there, the middle of the tree will grow higher, and other branches will be lower. A tree is the highest in the middle, and it is a little shorter on both sides, and it grows more and more like a pyramid. You see, a person has the highest in the middle, and both sides are shorter, which is "Quality".
does not mean that it is called uniform if it is completely flat. It has high and low, main and secondary, which is called uniform. So what does "Qi" mean? Just like heaven, it is at the highest. Including our heads, you see the highest in the middle, and lower the two sides. If the middle is lower, it will be terrible when the two sides are raised, right? I don't know how this head grows. That is, all things must be high and low, with main and secondary, and all things in nature are placed there.
Family should be like nature, with high and low, with main and secondary. We all have family photos together. Is the boss in the middle? The parents are in the middle, and then rank them by seniority and to the end. In fact, this is the same. So what does "Qijia" mean? It means that when you are together, you have a main and a secondary one, you are happy and rely on each other. Nothing in it is flattened. If it is flattened, it will be biased and has a focus. Only when everyone does their own duties, helps each other, and learns from each other's strengths and weaknesses can your family be considered in the same place.
