Shenyang Heavy Duty, the first heavy machine factory in New China, original location No. 8, Xinghua North Street, Tiexi District. It was founded in 1937 and was formerly known as the Fengtian Factory of Sumitomo Manchuria Metal Industry Co., Ltd. After reorganization with Shenyang Mine, it was renamed Northern Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and moved to the development zone in 2009.
On April 30, 2019, North Heavy Industry successfully completed judicial reorganization and mixed ownership reform. Fangda Group officially became the largest shareholder of North Heavy Industry, marking that North Heavy Industry has entered a new historical development period.
On August 13, 1958, Shenyang Heavy Machinery Factory successfully trial-produced the first 2500-ton free forging hydraulic press in New China, ending the history of my country's inability to produce large-scale free forging hydraulic presses.
In August 1953, the First Ministry of Machinery Industry determined that the production outline of the factory was mine, steel rolling , and forging equipment, and was renamed Shenyang Heavy Duty Factory.
In October 1955, the First Ministry of Machinery Industry renamed its heavy machinery factory to its code name, and the Shenyang Heavy Machinery Factory was renamed Factory 443.
In November 1956, the original factory was restored to Shenyang Heavy Machinery Factory.
In 1985, the enterprise was directly assigned to the local government and was directly affiliated to Shenyang City, and was affiliated to the Shenyang Mechanical and Electrical Industry Administration.
