Recently, the sharing session of “Scented Cloud Yarn and Upstream of Scented Cloud Stone” was held in Shenzhen Jewelry Museum. Scholars and guests shared their experience in jewelry creation and Xiangyun yarn design, as well as the concept of cross-border inclusive creation.
This sharing activity is not only a cross-border collision between clothing and jewelry, but also displays and promotes Lingnan culture with intangible cultural heritage and jewelry art. During the sharing session, Shenzhen Jewelry Museum and South China Agricultural University School of Art also signed the "Agreement on the Construction of Practice Teaching Base of South China Agricultural University School of Art" to further deepen bilateral cooperation.

From October 15th to December 15th, Shenzhen Jewelry Museum invited Ms. Liang Huiying, a lecturer in jewelry design from South China Agricultural University, to hold the "Bright Colors-Liang Huiying Jewelry Design Individual Works Exhibition", showing her design and production in the past two years More than ten pieces of jewelry. Liang Huiying, who grew up in Lingnan, hopes to use the most precious materials and the most complicated craftsmanship to express her feelings and love for local customs when designing jewelry.
Among them, the "Zen-Cicada" work combines titanium and 18K gold craftsmanship, fully using materials such as jade, opal, and enamel in the main design, and its source of inspiration is rooted in the banana forests that can be seen everywhere in the Lingnan area; The "Kapok Praise" inlaid with 18K gold is a tribute to the kapok that is known as the "hero flower" and is a scenic spot in Lingnan.

The theme sharing session on November 8 was organized by Shenzhen Jewelry Museum in collaboration with the Art College of South China Agricultural University and Kepeng Jewelry. During the sharing session, Professor Jin Huan, Dean of the Art College of South China Agricultural University, gave a special lecture titled "Innovative Design Strategy Research of Intangible Cloud Yarn Clothing", introducing the complete historical development context and technological process of Xiangyun Yarn.

as an intangible heritage of Lingnan, soft gold in textile fabrics, Xiangyun yarn was once an important role and cultural symbol on the Maritime Silk Road, it is the indelible memory of Lingnan people for the shadow of clothing and temples. Today, Xiangyun yarn not only has the dual connotation of environmental protection and culture, but also transforms itself into new life in contemporary design. Professor Jin Huan also showed live examples of the matching of fragrant cloud yarn clothing and jewellery, allowing the audience to feel the charm of the combination of intangible heritage and intelligent manufacturing.

The birth of Shenzhen Jewelry Museum, on the basis of displaying the history and skills of jewellery at home and abroad, its greater value lies in presenting contemporary jewellery creativity and design. Jewelry designers with independent creative languages provide a platform for display and communication." said Wang Zhen, curator of Shenzhen Jewelry Museum, in his speech.

The Shenzhen Jewelry Museum is the first public museum in China that focuses on jewellery. It officially opened on October 16, 2019. The pavilion is located in Luohu District, Shenzhen, and is constructed using the cooperation model of government and social capital. After the first anniversary of the opening of the museum, a complete fixed display has been established. In addition to the six major themed exhibits, the museum also uses spaces such as the library and cultural living room to invite cutting-edge jewelry designers to showcase their new ideas and works.
