This is a set of old photos taken in Gansu area in 1933. The photographer was an American pastor named Carter Holden. Carter Holden's Chinese name is Hai Yingguang. Carter Holden had traveled and preached in China for a long time, and it lasted for nearly ten years. In 1933, while preaching in Gansu, Carter Holden took a large number of pictures recording social life in various parts of Gansu at that time. The following set of old photos were taken during this period.
