The angle of light can directly affect the effect of the picture. For example, the light in the picture above is shining from the top of the head, such as the sun outside at noon, or there is a light on the top of the head indoors. We call this light " top light ". For example, your hair, eyebrows, nose, etc., or your glasses and hats will form messy light and shadow on your face, just like the picture on the left, so there is a saying in photography: " top light does not take photos ". We also call it " Death Light ". Whoever shoots the ugly one, even big stars with delicate facial features cannot control this kind of light.
Then how should I take pictures? If I really can't avoid the top light, I can block it with my hands like the picture on the right. Although my face will look a little darker, the effect will definitely be better than the left. Or you can increase the exposure when taking pictures, which can also make the photos more atmosphere, and adding hand movements will make them look more natural.
If you don’t want to have a shadow on your face, there is another way to raise your head gently and let the light shine directly on your face instead of the top of your head, which will also be good. Because we can't change the angle of light, but we can change ourselves.
