Due to work needs, I usually don’t have time. During holidays, as long as I have time (or even squeeze time), I will be fully armed and go to the "front line" to shoot birds, mainly in the northern part of the Qinling in Weinan of Shaanxi Province, and the wetland birds on both sides of the Weihe River Lord.

Photographing birds is an important way for me to go outdoors and embrace nature. It is an important way to exercise and cultivate oneself. It is a healthy, elegant and fashionable way of leisure. I have known Teacher Zhou for many years and know him well. He is free and easy-going and knows that he has a "long head" and is good at photographing birds.

During a chat at a dinner table, I accidentally asked him if he had been photographing birds for many years and whether he had ever thought about broadening his ideas and establishing a systematic informational picture library, and reminded him that he could try this idea when creating.

This was just a casual conversation during the dinner, and I didn’t take it seriously after saying it. However, a few days later, Teacher Zhou sent me this group of works that he had compiled. The large number surprised and admired me. There are many photographers in the

circle who shoot birds. Most of them treat them as "enjoyments" in their spare time, and there are very few truly systematic works. It is very rare for Teacher Zhou to be able to listen to the advice of my colleague and keep a calm mind while enjoying happy photography. Or maybe, he has already included this in his plan early, and my suggestion is just an "accelerator".
