the world's first commercial ascend ai 'supernode' has officially launched in shaoguan, marking the imminent rise of south china's largest computing power cluster. if computing power is the "new electricity" of the digital era, then as the only data center cluster in the guangdong-hong kong-macao greater bay area (gba), shaoguan is emerging as guangdong's most cost-effective "power plant."
shaoguan boasts an annual electricity surplus of approximately 10 billion kwh with a near-100% power supply reliability, ensuring ample and safe electricity for the data center. furthermore, the city is piloting an integrated "source-grid-load-storage" power system for the cluster and optimizing renewable energy resources. through long-term power purchase agreements with the data center and additional computing power subsidies, shaoguan's electricity costs are projected to match those of western clusters like guizhou. shaoguan's non-residential water price is lower than that in guangzhou and shenzhen, so the total computing power costs in shaoguan are just 60% of that in the pearl river delta on average.
from the perspective of safety, shaoguan is located outside seismic zones, offering geologically stable conditions. with an average annual temperature of 21℃, the lowest in guangdong, it helps reduce energy consumption for cooling in the data center.
more significantly, since china approved the establishment of the gba national hub node for china's integrated computing power network in 2022, shaoguan has attracted over 60 billion yuan in project investments within just three years. industry giants have flocked to the cluster, where 13 ultra-high-speed 400g all-optical networks now crisscross the gba, delivering millisecond-level data flow directly to guangzhou and shenzhen. this robust infrastructure is steadily bringing the blueprint of a "city of computing power" into reality across northern guangdong.

何以「粵」算越有數？韶關集群開秀大灣區「數字肌肉」
全球首個商用智算昇騰超節點在韶關上線，華南地區最大算力集群即將崛起。如果說算力就是數字時代的「新電力」，那麼作為粵港澳大灣區唯一的數據中心集群，韶關集群正在成為廣東最划算的「發電廠」。
看電價，韶關每年富餘電量約100億度，供電可靠率接近100%，可為數據中心提供充足且安全的電力保障。此外，韶關正在推進集群電力源網荷儲一體化試點，統籌新能源資源，與數據中心簽署長期購電協議，疊加算力券後，預計電價可與貴州等西部集群持平；看水價，韶關非居民用水成本比廣深低，綜合下來算力使用成本僅為珠三角的六成。
從安全賬看，韶關位於非地震帶，地質安全穩定，年平均氣溫21℃，在廣東省內最低，有利於降低數據中心運行能耗。
更重要的是，自2022年以來，國家批複設立全國一體化算力網路粵港澳大灣區國家樞紐節點韶關數據中心集群後，僅僅3年，韶關就吸引了600億元項目，投資巨頭雲集，13條400g全光運力網如銀色巨龍縱橫灣區和直抵廣深的「毫秒級」數據奔流，讓「算力之城」的宏偉藍圖在粵北大地徐徐展開。
