The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) will start its very first semester in the Guangdong provincial capital in September, undertaking its mission to train new talent for the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. 今年9月，香港科技大學（廣州）即將迎來首批新生，承擔起為粵港澳大灣區發展培養新型人才的使命。
The university aims to integrate the high-quality education resources of the mainland and Hong Kong, said Ma Shu, deputy director-general of the city government.
廣州市人民政府副秘書長馬曙表示，港科大（廣州）將融合內地與香港優質教育資源。
By exploring cutting-edge and crossover disciplines, it can build a new internal management system and mechanism to help cultivate innovative talent with an international perspective, for the development of the bay area.
通過探索前沿交叉學科建設，構建新型內部管理體制機制，創新具有國際視野的人才培養，增強粵港澳大灣區在國際競爭中的新優勢。
The university will start admitting undergraduate students in three majors in 2023, which will include artificial intelligence, data science and big data technology, and intelligent manufacturing engineering.
港科大（廣州）將於2023年開始招收首批3個本科專業的學生，分別為人工智慧、數據科學與大數據技術、智能製造工程。

Researchers at the University of Cambridge successfully changed the blood type of three donor kidneys, improving chances for patients waiting to find a matching transplant. 劍橋大學的研究人員成功地改變了三個捐贈腎臟的血型，該研究提高了患者匹配移植的機會。
A patient with blood type A cannot transplant their kidney to someone with blood type B, and vice versa.

Researchers used a normothermic perfusion machine, which preserves kidneys by passing oxygenated blood infused with an enzyme through the organ.

The enzyme removes blood type markers in the kidney's blood vessels, which then converts the organ to O type.
