the endangered glossy ibis, known as the "panda among birds", is the national first-class protected animal. the color of its plumage changes with the angle of light, hence the name "glossy ibis".
according to the president of the dongguan bird watching association, the glossy ibis sighted in li village, xiegang town is a passing bird on its way to migration. for the perfect food and environment here, the bird stayed briefly to replenish its strength before migrating again.
近日,有鳥類攝影愛好者在東莞市謝崗鎮黎村發現罕見的鳥類品種——彩䴉,這也是其首次現身東莞。彩䴉屬於國家一級重點保護野生動物,瀕臨絕跡,有「鳥中熊貓」之稱,其羽色會隨着光照角度而改變,由此得名「彩䴉」。
