According to the official Weibo of Huawei terminal , Huawei Beidou satellite news will start recruiting public beta verification today. Huawei Mate 50 series users can apply on the "My Huawei" App homepage - Beidou Public Test Interface. When the application is approved, Huawei will send a text message to notify the user, and the user can download the application and experience it.
According to Huawei, the Huawei Mate 50 series is the world's first popular smartphone that supports Beidou satellite messages. In an environment without ground network signal coverage, it can still send messages through the "Beidou Satellite Message" service account in the "Changlian" App to keep in touch with the outside world, and also support one-click generation of trajectory maps.
In addition, when there is a network on the ground, all brand mobile phones can receive Beidou satellite messages (ordinary SMS method). If it is Huawei mobile phone , and the Changlian version is 2.1.23.327 or above, you can also receive satellite messages (card method) through Changlian.
According to IT Home's previous report, this feature is currently only available in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan), and only the Mate 50, Mate 50 Pro, and Mate 50 RS Porsche design supports this feature (excluding Mate 50E). However, Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable screen phones will also support this feature later.
