International Unmanned System Innovation Challenge is an international engineering event hosted by the Egyptian Ministry of Defense and hosted by the Egyptian Military and Technical College. It is divided into three categories: ground, air and underwater. The competition is closely linked to the background of unmanned combat, aiming to provide design experience at the forefront of engineering education, thereby promoting the continuous innovation of military intelligent technology and accelerating the cross-integration of unmanned equipment technology with other disciplines. The competition adopts a mode display that is conducted simultaneously online and offline. The ground unmanned system challenge competition is divided into four modules, including technical defense, terrain crossing, equipment service, and autonomous navigation, and a total of 18 sub-tasks.

A Kylin Fighter team composed of 17 students from the school. Under the guidance of the faculty team of the School of Intelligent Science, it has overcome technical key points such as modular structural design, fine operation of robotic arm, autonomous navigation under GNSS denial conditions, and multi-source heterogeneous sensor information fusion. In 8 months, the Kylin Fighter team independently designed and developed a functionally integrated wheel-fin composite structure unmanned platform. The platform has two task modes: remote control and autonomous navigation, and has the outstanding advantages of overtaking obstacles in all terrain, which laid the foundation for the team to win the championship in the competition.
