Around the time of Tang Dynasty , at the end of Xuanzong Tianbao, there was a man named Pei Qiu from Hedong Prefecture who lived in Suzhou, Jiangsu Province.

Pei Qiu likes Jiangnan landscapes the most, especially a pavilion at the foot of Tiger Hill, which he likes even more.

According to local people, this pavilion is the property of Suzhou the famous hermit Lu Qushe. Moreover, this pavilion has a long history. It was not built by Lu Qushe himself, but in the back garden of Dai Yu, a frequent servant of Sanqi of the Later Song Dynasty.

Just because of the passage of time, most of Dai Yu's original gardens were dilapidated or even collapsed, but this pavilion still stands. After Lu Qushe's repairs, it is still a local scenic spot.

After Pei Qiu arrived in Suzhou, he often browsed the scenery in this pavilion.

On this day, Pei Qiu was sitting in the pavilion again. Suddenly he felt an unbearable pain in his chest. He fell to the ground and fell unconscious in less than a cup of tea.

By the time others found out, he had already died without a heartbeat or breathing, but his body was still warm and soft, just neither cold nor hard. The locals also found it strange, so they took good care of his body and kept it in the pavilion for the time being.

After Pei Qiu fainted and died, he didn't feel anything unusual. In his hazy eyes, he saw a man walking up to him, saying that Mr. Dai had invited him to speak.

As a foreigner, Pei Qiu didn't have many friends in Suzhou, and he couldn't remember any old acquaintances named Dai, so he asked Mr. Dai who he was.

The envoy asked him, do you know Mr. Dai Yudai, the regular attendant of Sanqi in the Later Song Dynasty?

Pei Qiu suddenly realized that he really knew that Master Dai's name was so loud and clear.

The messenger said that Mr. Dai Yu is asking you to come over. So, Pei Qiu stopped asking questions and followed the envoy to a government office.

An officer in red official uniform met Pei Qiu, claiming to be Dai Yu. After the two exchanged a few words, Dai Yu directly stated the purpose of inviting Pei Qiu here.

Dai Yu said that he has an unmarried daughter. Seeing that you are very talented and handsome, he hopes to accept this marriage and betroth his daughter to you.

Pei Qiu was shocked when he heard this, but he did not dare to refuse blatantly, so he had to tell Dai Yu sincerely, saying that he had already been married a long time ago and had a wife at home. Obviously, he could not marry another young lady. Thank you. If you fall in love wrongly, you can only ask an adult to take it back.

Dai Yu listened to Pei Qiu's words. Although he didn't get angry, his tone was already a little angry. He said loudly, you don't know that people and ghosts have different paths. Your wife is a living person in the world at home, and my daughter is in the underworld. You Why are you so pushy?

Pei Qiu saw that the other party was a little angry, so he quickly bowed and apologized, tactfully saying that since he already had an official position in the world, he had already obtained the royal title. This status was obviously not suitable for him to be your son-in-law.

Looking at Pei Qiu's words, Dai Yu, as a regular servant of Sanqiu, seems to know that the emperor's order cannot be violated. Combined with Pei Qiu's expression, he knows that the person in front of him seems to be gentle and quiet, but his character must be extremely strong. May succumb to strong pressure.

After pondering for a while, Dai Yu probably gave up on his earlier decision and said that since you don't want to, this relationship between men and women is about mutual consent, so I can't force it.

After saying this, Dai Yu called the messenger next to him and said that he would send Mr. Pei back.

So, the messenger took Pei Qiu out of the gate. After taking a turn, he saw a pavilion that he was very familiar with. His body was still lying in the pavilion motionless, and there were several familiar locals beside him. What are you talking about while pointing at your body?

The messenger led Pei Qiu all the way into the pavilion. The people inside were unaware. The messenger stretched out his hand and pushed Pei Qiu to the body lying there, and the two were united.
