The first time I heard about Yanggu County was in " Water Margin ". The stories of Wu Song fighting the tiger in Yanggang and eliminating the bully in the Lion Tower are well-known to everyone. The Lion Tower is located southwest of Cross Street in the old city of Yanggu County. Five miles further south there is Ma Miao Village, where the strange event in this article happened.
一, Escape from Death
At about 1 pm on December 13, 1993, several villagers in Ma Miao Village were leaning on the corner to bask in the warm winter sun, and they were playing nonsense and croaking.
While everyone was laughing, a person rolled down from the wall of Zhang Jinggen's courtyard in the north of Lubei with a "plop". Everyone took a closer look and saw that I was a good boy, which frightened them all.
I saw that man, in his twenties, unkempt, with something stuffed in his mouth, his upper and lower lips tightened with wires, a green nylon rope wrapped from his mouth to the back of his head, and his hands were tied behind his back. He looked very horrifying, like a prisoner who had been tortured by a pervert.
The "strange prisoner" got up and went straight to the stunned people. He was mumbling and couldn't hear what he was saying. He turned his back again and twisted his hands to signal everyone to help him untie the rope. However, everyone looked panicked and no one dared to step forward and act rashly.
The "strange prisoner" begged for a while, but everyone was still indifferent. Then he ran straight to the front of the brigade secretary Xu Junchang's yard, but failed again. The door of Xu's house was locked and no one was home.
The "weird prisoner" had a look of despair and was completely disappointed in the village. He cried bitterly and ran to the neighboring village of Liukeng, and arrived at Qin Dengzhu's house in one breath. When the Qin family's daughter-in-law saw a "monster" running into the house, she immediately ran out, screaming and screaming, which echoed throughout the sky.
Qin Guangqing, who was returning home from get off work at the police station, had just entered the house and picked up his tea cup when he heard the screams of women in the village. When he went out to check the situation, he bumped into Qin's wife. The Qin family's daughter-in-law was so frightened and speechless that she pulled Qin Guangqing and ran towards her home.
Qin Guangqing stared at the "strange prisoner" and knew something was wrong. He immediately used the intercom to call a police car and took the "strange prisoner" to the Yanggu Town Police Station.
In order to preserve evidence, the police first took a photo of him, and then took him to County Hospital for treatment of his injuries. When the doctor cut off the wire on his lips and took out the cotton from his mouth, he cried "Wow" and told the police how he had been robbed and tortured.
The "strange prisoner" is named Meng Xiangyong. He is a skin dealer who goes from village to village to buy dog, cow, sheep and other miscellaneous skins.
At around 11:00 on December 12, Meng Xiangyong shouted loudly while pushing his bicycle. When they arrived at the door of Zhang Jinggen's house in Ma Miao Village, Zhang Jinggen said that he had a bastard at home, so Meng Xiangyong followed him into the house to look at the goods.
Meng Xiangyong was taken to the east room. Zhang Jinggen asked him to sit and wait for a while, saying that he would get the bastard. As a result, when Zhang Jinggen came back, he pointed a gun at Meng Xiangyong and threatened: "Take out all the valuable things on you!"
Meng Xiangyong was panicked. He did not expect that he would fall into the gangster's den. To save his life, he immediately took out all the money he had on him, and handed all the 135 yuan in loose bills to Zhang Jinggen. But he still didn't expect that even though the money was handed over, Zhang Jinggen still wouldn't let him go and locked him up in the east room.
Zhang Jinggen took the money and ran to the town to eat and drink happily, and did not return home until dark.
When he came back, Zhang Jinggen took the cakes and biscuits he bought and handed them to Meng Xiangyong and said, "I'm really a bastard. Come with me to the west room and have a look."
Meng Xiangyong believed it and followed Zhang Jinggen to the west room. As soon as he entered the door, Zhang Jinggen picked up the door bolt and hit Meng Xiangyong on the head. Zhang Jinggen was worried that he would yell again after he woke up, so he stuffed his mouth with cotton.
In the middle of the night, Meng Xiangyong woke up again and was still moaning. Zhang Jinggen was so angry that he punched him several more times, untied his pants and peed on his head.
In the end, Meng Xiangyong no longer had the physical strength to resist and stopped yelling. Zhang Jinggen came up to him and said: "Don't you have a sister? Kill your brother-in-law and let your sister live with me?"
Meng Xiangyong rolled his eyes at him and said nothing.
Zhang Jinggen asked again: "Are there any slutty girls in your village? Can you introduce them to me and let me play with them?"
"No."
Zhang Jinggen didn't believe it, so he threatened her. He threatened: "If you don't tell me, I will dig out your eyeballs!"
Meng Xiangyong said helplessly: "Indeed not."

While he was unconscious, Zhang Jinggen pulled out a piece of wire from the broom and twisted Meng Xiangyong's upper and lower lips together. After that, he went back to his house and slept peacefully.
When Meng Xiangyong woke up again, he found that his mouth was tightened and the pain was unbearable. That night was the most difficult and painful night in his life, but he could only endure it with hatred and look for an opportunity to escape.
At 10 o'clock in the morning on December 13, Zhang Jinggen came to the west room to see if Meng Xiangyong was dead. When he saw that he was still alive, he said: "Do you want to scream? Zhang Jinggen was born in 1969, the third eldest child in his family, and his family affectionately called him "Little San".

The situation is easy to change, but Zhang Jinggen's character is hard to change. He just doesn't want to make money through labor. He always wants to get something for nothing and enjoy the gains, so his wife left him early.
In the autumn of 1988, Zhang Jinggen fell in love with the TV set in his neighbor's house. When no one was in the neighbor's house, he jumped in and took back the neighbor's black and white TV set . When the neighbor came home and saw that the TV was missing, he started shouting and cursing everywhere in the village, which made Zhang Jinggen a little scared. After all, it was his first time to steal such a valuable thing.
That night, Zhang Jinggen quietly put the TV in the neighbor's toilet. When the neighbor saw that the TV had been lost and recovered, there was no loss, so he didn't pursue it further.
The first theft failed, but Zhang Jinggen was unwilling to do so. On October 26, 1988, he saw an unlocked bicycle at the county fair. He was very itchy, so he pushed the bicycle and ran away while the owner was not paying attention. Unexpectedly, he alarmed the owner. The owner of the car is strong and strong, but Zhang Jinggen is weak and weak. He can't outrun others, but everyone gets the stolen goods.
Zhang Jinggen’s second theft ended in such a mess, and he was detained for 15 days. But he was still unwilling to do so and insisted on winning a vote.
A month later, Zhang Jinggen targeted the TV set of Zhang Jingming's house in the same village. In the middle of the night, he asked his second brother Zhang Jingshan to watch outside the wall, and he quietly jumped into Zhang Jingming's house and took out the black and white TV set. The next day, Zhang Jingming followed the thief's footprints to the door of Zhang Jinggen's house and asked him if he had stolen the TV. Zhang Jinggen told lies and refused to admit it.
After Zhang Jingming left, Zhang Jinggen thought about it again and felt bad about being suspected, so he asked his second brother to secretly send the TV back when it was dark.
In the spring of 1989, Zhang Jinggen used the same method to steal a black-and-white TV set owned by Zhang Mengshan from the same village. He was also found to have exposed the problem and then quietly returned it. Zhang Jinggen stole TV sets three times and sent them back three times. It can be said that he created a miracle in the industry.
After learning from the experience of the previous four failed thefts, Zhang Jinggen finally succeeded in stealing the tape recorder and camera from Zhang Jingchun's home in the autumn of 1989 and 1990, and sold them for money for a while.
In 1993, Zhang Jinggen discovered that the rabbits raised by Zhang Jingdong's family in the same village were very fat, so he stole a dozen of them and hid them in a secret slot between his bed and the wall. Whenever he wanted to eat meat, he would take it out and kill one. It felt great to be able to eat meat without spending any money.
On July 10, 1993, Zhang Jinggen committed another crime at the county market, but was caught on the spot and detained for another 15 days.
Just the day before Meng Xiangyong was deceived by Zhang Jinggen to go home, at 8 am on December 11, , Meng Yanglin, who lived in the same village as Meng Xiangyong, also rode his bicycle to Ma Miao Village to buy miscellaneous skins. When Meng Yanglin walked to the door of Zhang Jinggen's house, Zhang Jinggen called him: "Come, I have dog skins at home, how much do you want to pay?"
Meng Yanglin replied: "I can't say how much it is without seeing the goods."
"Come into my house and have a look."
Zhang Jinggen took Meng Yanglin to the east room and asked him to sit and wait. As a result, Zhang Jinggen turned around, held the gun, held the trigger and pointed the muzzle at him and said: "If you don't move, I will kill you! I lied to you, take out the money!"
"Just do it like this! You want two dollars, oh, OK, I'll give it to you!"
Meng Yanglin took out 110 yuan from his body and threw it on the ground. Zhang Jinggen searched him again and found five or six dollars in change, and then threatened: "If you report the crime if I let you go, I will come out to kill your whole family and silence your whole family!"
Meng Yanglin ran home in a hurry and did not dare to report the crime. He was afraid of retaliation, so he kept it secret and did not tell others. He did not tell the truth until the police found him.
Zhang Jinggen repeatedly stole and was frustrated. Unexpectedly, his first robbery was a great success, which made him confident and courageous. On December 12, another bastard buyer came to his door. Zhang Jinggen repeated his old tricks and robbed Meng Xiangyong and brutally imprisoned and humiliated him.
Zhang Jinggen is a person who does not do his job properly and is idle. He started stealing at the age of fifteen or sixteen and has stolen all over the village. Therefore, the whole village hates him, but they are also very afraid of his revenge.
After the robbery incident, Zhang Jinggen fled in fear of crime. 77 villagers in the village jointly pledged money automatically as "anti-evil funds" to let the police comrades catch him as soon as possible, which shows that his evil deeds are rampant in the village.
Third, the law eliminates evil
Good will be rewarded with good, and evil will be rewarded with evil. It does not mean that the time has not yet come for retribution.
On June 14, 1994, Zhang Jinggen finally sat in the dock. The court sentenced him to death for robbery, seven years' imprisonment for hooliganism, two years' imprisonment for theft, and two years' imprisonment for destroying public and private property. The court decided to execute the death penalty.
Zhang Jinggen was dissatisfied and appealed. On September 9 of the same year, the Shandong High Court rejected his appeal and upheld the original verdict.
At 11:20 on September 27 of the same year, a righteous bullet ended Zhang Jinggen's life in this life and sent him to the "eighteen levels of hell".
