Legend has it that in ancient times, someone discovered that the spring water from Pijumiao Mountain could dye cloth of various colors. Whatever color you want, just put the cloth into the spring and pray in your heart, and the cloth will become the color you want. Originally, this mountain spring was a puddle where people often washed their clothes. How did they discover that it could be dyed? One day, a girl from Pijumiao Village took some clothes and a piece of white cloth to the spring to wash her clothes. The girl soaked the white cloth in the spring water, thinking that after washing the white cloth, I would dye it red so that it can be used as a wedding dress when she gets married. While the girl was thinking wildly, the white cloth had turned into a bright red. The girl was very happy and went back and told her mother about it. The girl's mother went to the spring to try it and found that the spring water was really good at dyeing cloth. The girl's mother told everyone she met that at that time there were not many households in the Pujumiao Mountain area, and the result became known to everyone. People in the mountains went to the spring, put cloth into the spring, burned incense and prayed, chanting the desired color. After a while, the cloth turned into the color I wanted. From then on, this place became a cloth-dying spring. People in the mountains said that the cloth was dyed by the Five-color Empress. In order to worship the Five-Colored Empress, people in the mountains donated money to build the Temple of the Five-Colored Empress by the spring.
One day, a Nanmanzi who was a Feng Shui observer came to the village. He was surprised to hear that the Five-Color Niangniang Spring could dye cloth. The next morning, Nanmanzi went to the Five-Colored Empress Spring to have a look and found the five-color stone that could dye cloth. In order to steal the Five-Colored Empress Stone, but he could not dig it out blatantly, Nanmanzi encouraged the village chief and said: "The Five-Colored Empress Spring belongs to Yin. If this continues, the Yin energy in the spring water will inevitably suppress the Yang energy in the village, which will be detrimental to the men in the village." . After listening to Nanmanzi's words, the village chief thought that several men in the village did suddenly become ill. The village chief asked Nanmanzi: "What's the solution?" Nanmanzi said: "It would be better if you dig the spring pit downwards and build it with bricks. Because water is yin and bricks are yang. If you surround the water with bricks, the water will not flood. It means that men can control women. Men in the village can It’s safe and sound.” The village chief was very happy and ordered the people in the village to follow Nanmanzi's instructions and dig the spring water into a large square pit of about one square meter. After the surroundings of the Five-color Niangniang Spring were built with green bricks, it looked much better than before. The well circle is half-buried under the well platform. The square well walls are made of blue bricks. The clear spring water is like a clear round mirror. The village chief was very happy and held a banquet to reward Nanmanzi. At this time, someone told the village chief that Nanmanzi ran away carrying a big stone on his back. The village chief knew that he had been fooled, so he quickly went to the Five-Colored Empress Spring to check, and found that the spring water would no longer dye cloth. Although the Five Color Empress Spring water cannot be dyed now, when I am thirsty, I take a few sips of the Five Color Empress Spring water, and I still feel the sweetness.
