The IOC committees focus on specific areas and play a crucial role in the operation of institutions. Meanwhile, among a total of 31 committees, there were 13 committees in which women served as heads.
In the Olympic stadium, the International Olympic Committee is also aiming to achieve gender balance. The proportion of female athletes in the Tokyo Olympics reached a record high, and at 2024 Paris Olympics , the participation quota for male and female athletes will each account for 50%. In terms of Winter Olympics , the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics is the most balanced Winter Olympics so far: 45% are female athletes and 55% are male athletes. The proportion of female athletes in the 2026 Milan Cortina d'Ampezzo Winter Olympics will reach a record high of 47%.
