In wild fishing, the topic of whether the bait tastes better or the lighter is better. There will definitely be a lot of controversy among fishing friends. It is impossible for me to unify everyone's understanding here. I just share my understanding and give everyone a thought. Perhaps we will get closer to the objective side. Therefore, we can use the correct ideas to guide us to apply the correct methods in the practice of fishing.
Let’s first look at the flavor of the bait. The most commonly used flavors are fishy and fragrant. These two flavors are the main flavors in the bait. Practice has proved that no matter which fragrance or fishy smell used in commercial bait, it has the effect of attracting fish. Whether it is commercial bait or pure grain bait, the bait we make in the nest will emit its own flavor after entering the water. It's just that some tastes big, some tastes small. If we are fishing for fish at the bottom, most of the fish come to the nest by sensing the smell through smell. Suppose the nest we make is dry corn and we can't smell the smell in the distance, and the fish just pass by the nest. As long as it can stay in the nest, it will only stay after the fish arrives at the nest and smells the corn kernels. If this dried corn is a fake corn kernel made of plastic, it does not have the taste of corn itself. Even if it looks like corn kernels, the fish will not stay in the nest, and they will not eat these fake corn kernels without any taste. Therefore, fish recognize food through taste, rather than shape and state. Does
taste important? Of course it is very important. Not only is the taste important, but the taste with a high concentration is more important than the taste with a low concentration.
Because the stronger the bait tastes, the greater the taste, and the farther it can be transmitted through diffusion in water. Therefore, using strong smelly nest ingredients to make a nest can lure fish from afar further into the nest.
Before I summed up this experience, the nest material was used very lightly and the bait was also very lightly. It would take a long time to wait for the fish. It is often slower than fishing friends on the same route. When I started using bait with a high odor concentration, the time for fishing was shortened, and I often got fishing first than fishing friends on the same route. This is a very interesting comparison. The experience summarized in actual combat is very valuable, so I firmly believe that whether it is nest or fishing bait, fish like to eat bigger tastes. They do not eat smaller tastes baits, but putting the two kinds of baits together, and they will first eat those bigger tastes baits. After eating the bait with a big taste, I went back to eat the bait with a small taste.
Speaking of this, we need to remind everyone that there are prerequisites for using bait with strong and strong flavor, including nest materials and fishing bait. What are the prerequisites? There are two prerequisites:
The first prerequisite is whether it is the taste in the natural flavor type or the taste in the artificial chemically synthesized flavor type. If the taste is in a natural flavor, it is OK, and the thicker the better. For example, the various nest ingredients made from grain wine, you don’t worry about how strong the wine is. When you see the water, it will be diluted and spread far away, and the fish luring effect is very good. For example, natural shrimp powder and shrimp oil in the fishy smell, and natural fruit concentrate medicines in the fragrance are not afraid of high concentrations. No matter how strong the taste extracted from these natural animals and plants will not die. It will spread infinitely through the dilution of water, which has a good effect of attracting fish.
Some of the artificially synthesized small medicines belonging to chemical ingredients should not taste too much when placing bait. Otherwise, big fish will not enter the nest and will easily die.
The second prerequisite is that it depends on whether your target fish is small and medium or large. If the target fish is a small and medium-sized fish with a small individual and a large density of fish in the water, the fish can be lured into the nest as soon as possible and as much as possible through high-concentration and flavored bait. If the target fish is a large individual fish, the density of fish in the water is relatively small, and it is difficult to lure large fish with strong flavor bait. It often attracts many small and medium-sized fish. Even if these fish eat the nests completely, they may not be able to wait for big fish. Therefore, fishing for large fish requires more nests and lighter nest materials. After making the nest, you can take a longer time to catch the fish. Therefore, bait with strong smell is not suitable for catching big fish. This does not mean that big fish do not eat natural heavy-tasting foods. They must eat them. Instead, there are few big fish and wide water and few fish. It is impossible to lure fish with heavy-tasting bait in a short period of time. Therefore, there is no need, which is the main reason for not using heavy-tasting bait.
After talking about the second prerequisite, there may be fishermen who say that there is a third prerequisite, that is, waters with many small fish are not suitable for heavy baits. I can only say the question of
, half of it. For anglers who have few ways to deal with small fish, it is indeed best not to use strong bait in waters where there are too many small fish. Because it will make these fishing friends feel frustrated by the little fish.
However, for anglers who have ways to deal with small fish in their nests, no matter how many small fish there are, as long as there are target fish in the waters, they will still use strong-tasting nest materials to lure the fish. Just make a fuss on the bait, you can catch the target fish in the waters with many small fish. I have shared the method about this in previous videos. Interested anglers can read it, so I won’t go into details here.
