When I was a child, I heard my mother say that her uncle was killed by acupuncture before liberation. He was only in his 20s when he died. When I was a kid, I heard about this and found it very scary. As I get older, I feel more and more that acupuncture is outrageous and ridiculous. It is precisely because there are too many "outrageous and absurd" negative images similar to "acupoint magic skills" that traditional martial arts have become a laughing stock!

The "Sunflower Acupuncture Hand" who ridiculed the magic of acupuncture
As early as June 28, 2019, Qingliu County, Fujian Province held a "Martial Arts Dragon Fighter Chinese and Foreign Boxing Champion" Competition", Huo Yanshan, a so-called "Acupuncture Master", defeated a contestant known as " Sanda Champion" with "Acupoint Magic" in only 2 rounds. After the "Sanda Champion" was hit by the "Acupoint Magic", he fell to the ground and twitched, unable to stand up.
What’s interesting is that the majority of netizens didn’t buy it. After this video was posted, it was unceremoniously ridiculed by netizens. Professionals who know how to fight said that the so-called "Sanda champion" did not look professional.
Moreover, according to insiders, the so-called "acupoint master" is the president of the "Qingliu Martial Arts Association", the organizer of this competition. Therefore, many people call him "China's real performing artist". Soon after, under pressure from public opinion, "the president of the Fujian Provincial Martial Arts Association told a reporter from the Beijing News that there is no magic acupoint technique in the martial arts world."
In fact, various so-called "martial arts masters" such as "Dian-point masters" who can "divide acupuncture magic" have been emerging in an endless stream in the traditional martial arts world. As early as the 1980s, there was the so-called Shaolin martial arts master "Hai Deng Master h" who was very popular. tml3", and in recent years there have been "Tai Chi Masters" Yan Fang and Lei Lei, and Ma Baoguo who claims to be "the master of Hunyuan Xingyi Tai Chi", etc., all of whom regard themselves as "traditional martial arts masters".
The videos leaked by these so-called "martial arts masters" make people laugh. For example, Yan Fang, in the camera, the student fell to the ground as soon as she touched her lightly. There is also the so-called "killing a cow across a mountain" magic skill, which is no less funny than the "invulnerability" magic skill of the Boxer Rebellion. What about
actually? The actual combat ability of these so-called "martial arts masters" is not even as good as that of an ordinary young man. In the past, there was Lei Lei, a Tai Chi master, who fell to the ground with a KO as soon as he was confronted by someone in the ring; later, there was Ma Baoguo, the "master of Hunyuan Xingyi Tai Chi", who was also embarrassed in the ring and fell to the ground when someone confronted him. And these people who knocked down the masters were not the top figures in the fighting world.
Take the "magical acupuncture skills" mentioned at the beginning of the article as an example. It is simply a very outrageous and ridiculous thing. As the "President of the Fujian Martial Arts Association" said, "There is no magical acupoint skills in the martial arts world." In fact, this conclusion was bluntly stated by the famous martial artist Mr. Wang Xiangzhai as early as the 1940s.

Mr. Wang Xiangzhai
Mr. Wang Xiangzhai himself is the founder of Yiquan and a martial arts master. He can be said to be a generation of people who are extremely proficient in traditional martial arts. He bluntly pointed out in his book "Dacheng Quan Lun" that 's so-called "magic point-pointing skills" are actually "something that makes people feel sick when they hear it and has no practical value at all."
Mr. Wang Xiangzhai’s words in the book probably mean: The art of acupuncture is said to be magical. It is emphasized that the acupoints must be found accurately and the timing of acupoints must be paid attention to (traditional martial arts believes that qi and blood will flow to different acupoints at different times, so acupoints must be tapped at the right time). It really makes people want to vomit after listening to it!
Mr. Wang Xiangzhai gave an example. When two people are fighting and evenly matched, it is difficult to tap a certain acupuncture point on the other side.如果还要按照时间来推算应该点哪个穴道,那早就被对方揍趴下了。
In fact, if you have not mastered boxing skills, you will be weak and weak, and no matter how much you poke the opponent, it will have no effect; if you have mastered boxing skills, and your hands are strong, if you poke the opponent's ribs and chest, regardless of whether the acupuncture points are hit, the person may be stabbed to death. teaches people to "learn that a certain point is an acupuncture point and can be tapped at a certain time", which is nonsense and nonsense!
The earliest record of "attacking acupuncture points" in traditional Chinese martial arts can be found in Huang Zongxi's "Epitaph of Wang Zhengnan". In the article, it is written in a serious way, "Wang Zhengnan always uses his acupoints to attack people: fatal points, mute points, dizzy points, all like the bronze man's diagram." In traditional Chinese medicine, there are actually no acupoint names such as "death point, dumb point, and dizzy point." The so-called "death point, dumb point, and dizzy point" actually mean that attacking certain acupoints will produce the effects of "death, dumbness, and dizziness."
Huang Zongxi's son Huang Baijia once studied martial arts with Wang Zhengnan as his master. After that, he specifically disclosed the mystery of the so-called "magic point-pointing skill" in " Neijia Quanfa ". Later, Tang Hao, a martial arts historian in the Republic of China, in order to verify the authenticity of the "magic point-pointing technique", specifically based on the records of the Huangs and his sons and the acupoint locations in the "Bronze Man Diagram", he personally verified the "acupoint-attacking" martial arts used by Wang Zhengnan around 1929. The results of the
verification prove that the so-called "magic acupoint technique" is just a bluff, designed to deceive ignorant fools. It is of no use when life is at stake. As mentioned before, if the person who uses the "magical point-pointing skill" does not have enough strength in his hands, or the opponent's muscles are relatively strong, even if the opponent's acupoints are poked, the opponent will not react at all.

Ma Baoguo
From the viewpoints of Mr. Wang Xiangzhai, a martial artist, and Tang Hao, a scholar of martial arts history in the Republic of China, the conclusion that can be drawn is: the so-called "acupoint magic skill" It has no actual combat effect at all. Only by practicing extraordinary strength and mastering superb fighting skills (such as "Jie Yi" to dislocate a person's jaw and "Chokehold" to strangle a person's neck to suffocate him) and attack the enemy's vital parts can masters of real traditional martial arts be able to defeat the enemy.
Well, traditional martial arts such as the so-called "Acupoint Magic Skill" are still spread to this day and are still praised as magical. They started from the martial arts novels in the late Qing Dynasty, such as "Three Heroes and Five Righteousness", "Peng Gongan", etc. , In the 1970s and 1980s, the "martial arts novels" that became popular in China played a huge role in fueling the flames. Jin Yong, Liang Yusheng and Gu Long and other martial arts novel writers "contributed indispensably". For example, there are still people who believe that there is really someone who can master the "Eighteen Palms of Subduing the Dragon". Isn't this very funny?
For example, in the book "Peng Gongan" published in 1892, it is written that many characters are good at "acupoint magic". As long as they are attacked by the "acupoint magic", they will fall to the ground and become unable to move. The power of the "magical acupuncture skill" is described as being as magical as Sun Wukong 's magic in "Journey to the West".
What was inspired by these martial arts novels was the various increasingly evil deeds that began to spread among the people in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. In this kind of deeds, the protagonist always possesses the "magic power of acupuncture", which can kill people with just one tap on the body. In order to save his life, he can only take the magic medicine provided by the protagonist. To put it bluntly, this kind of story is actually made up by those traditional folk martial arts artists who travel around the world in order to sell medicine.
Later, the "magic point-pointing skills" written in these martial arts novels about having noses and eyes were used by many martial arts masters for my use. They claimed that they had this "magic point-pointing technique" that could kill people. They also wrote down the key points of practicing the "magical acupuncture skill" in a secret book.
In fact, the so-called secrets they wrote still emphasize two points: first, to practice the strength of the fingers, which can be done by inserting iron sand and hitting wooden posts with fists; second, to practice identifying acupoints, which is very mysterious. Not only must you identify which acupuncture points are located in which parts of the human body, but you must also know which acupoints should be hit at what time. The theoretical basis is that qi and blood travel in the human body meridians . At different times, they travel to different locations. The
cheats are so mysterious and magical, but the secret is actually the same as mentioned above. When the strength and hardness of your fingers are developed to the point where you can pierce rocks, poke holes in iron plates, and hit anyone, it will be either death or injury. It has nothing to do with whether the acupoints were hit.
To put it bluntly, a fighting master who is proficient in fighting skills actually causes huge damage to the enemy by attacking the vulnerable parts of the enemy's body. What does it have to do with acupuncture? The so-called "magical acupuncture skills" are just imbecile tricks to deceive oneself and others. This is a common problem in traditional martial arts. They like to pretend to be gods and deceive themselves and others.
