1. Selection of hook type for fish hook
Whether in winter or other seasons, the three types of fish hooks that are commonly used for fishing crucian carp include sleeve hook , Haixi and Izu. The first two are used more often, especially sleeve hooks. They are not only excellent when fishing crucian carp in wild, but also the main hooks when fishing crucian carp in pond competitions. Is it not easy to catch crucian carp in Izu? It's not that it's not easy to use. Izu is a comprehensive fish hook that takes into account both size and size, and has a barb. It is mainly used for hanging live bait and earthworms. It is more suitable for fishing for some grass holes and obstacles in the water.
2. Select the size of the fish hook
crucian carp has a small mouth, and the fish hook should be mainly small. When you see a fisherman taking Iseni No. 6 or 7 to catch crucian carp, this is not on the same channel at all! I personally prefer to use sleeve hooks when fishing crucian carp in wild fishing. In summer, you will choose number 3 to 4, and in winter, you will use number 2 and 3. Some friends may say, I use earthworms, and the sleeve hook cannot be hung firmly without barbs! In fact, there are barbs for sleeve hooks, which are better than Izu. However, it is best to choose a barbs with a size 5 for earthworms, as it is too small for earthworms to hook.
In addition to the above mentioned, there are many hooks that can catch crucian carp, such as Iseni, Shin Kanto, etc., but these hooks are thicker and relatively heavy, and are not suitable for catching crucian carp. When I was fishing, I also took the No. 5 Iceni to catch crucian carp. Compared with the fishermen next to me, I caught more than ten, and I caught at most one or two. The float had movements but the hook didn’t hit the fish. So if you want to catch crucian carp, you can’t be careless when choosing this part of the hook.
