Daniel Ricciardo insists he will see out his McLaren contract in Formula One, which runs until the end of the 2023 season.

He has struggled to catch up with teammate Lando Norris' form since joining McLaren last year, sparking speculation over whether he will complete his three-year contract.

McLaren's roster of driver talent continues to expand. Reigning IndyCar champion Alex Palau has signed with the racing team, while his rival Colton Herta tests for the team.

Today, Ricciardo made it clear that he will not switch to another McLaren team, such as IndyCar or the new Formula E team. In a social media post this morning, Ricciardo said he will finish out his McLaren contract in Formula One.

"There are a lot of rumors about my future in Formula 1 but I hope you can hear from me that I am committed to McLaren until the end of next year and I will not give up on the sport." Cardo wrote.

Ricciardo is currently 12th in the drivers' standings, having scored three times this season with 17 points to Norris's 64 points.

"I appreciate it's not always easy, but who wants ordinary," he added. "I'm working hard with the team to make improvements and get racing right back where it belongs. I still want this more than ever.

He signed with McLaren in 2020, one of the seasons with Renault signed a two-year contract as he struggled to adapt to McLaren's 2021 car but took his only race win since 2012 at the Italian Grand Prix, leading Norris to a one-two finish. End of results.
