NBA NBA president Adam Silver admitted that if Kevin Durant applied for a deal with the Brooklyn Nets , it would have a very negative impact on the NBA league. Having said that, he hopes Nets and Durant can do something in the future to solve this problem.

During the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Silver shared his thoughts on the Durant trade negotiations and the overall impact the issue has on the league. Although this is inevitable, it is something NBA management does not want to see.

"There will always be closed-door conversations between players and teams. But we don't want to see players asking for trades, and we don't want to see things develop like this." Silver told New York Post reporter Brian Lewis said.

"As we enter the collective bargaining cycle, this is one of the issues -- we intend to discuss it with our players association to see if there are remedies."

Regardless, Silver emphasized that he does not like Durant requesting a trade. There are reports that Durant's trade may be delayed until training camp, especially considering the huge asking price of the Nets.

Whether Durant leaves the Nets remains to be seen, but it's clear Silver is paying close attention.
