On the evening of July 4th, in the fourth round of men's singles at 2022 Wimbledon , Australian player Kyrgios faced American player Brandon Nakajima to compete for the men's singles quarterfinals. Kyrgios was in poor physical condition. The protector came in to massage his shoulders, and the two sides played five sets. Kyrgios won the final set 6-2. Kyrgios reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals again after 2014!

As soon as the first set came up, Brandon Nakajima started. The first eight games of both sides were tied at 4-4 with each maintaining serve. Brandon Nakajima held serve and took a 5-4 lead in the ninth game. In the tenth game, Brandon Nakajima broke serve and won the first set 6-4.
In the second set, Brandon Nakajima continued to start and won the first game with a guaranteed serve. In the second game, Kyrgios resolved the break point and held serve. In the third game, Kyrgios broke serve. Holding serve and winning the fourth game, Kyrgios established a 3-1 advantage. Kyrgios maintained his advantage and won the second set 6-4.
Nakajima Brandon
In the third set, there was no intense and exciting plot in the game. Both sides maintained serve at 6-6 and entered the tie-break. Kyrgios won the tiebreaker 7-2.
In the fourth set, both sides maintained serve at 3-3. In the seventh game, Brandon Nakajima broke serve first. Brandon Nakajima held serve in the eighth game and broke again in the ninth game to win the fourth set 6-3. The two sides entered the deciding set 2-2.
Kyrgios
In the deciding set, Kyrgios broke serve first in the third game and held serve to take a 3-1 lead in the fourth game. In the fifth game, Kyrgios broke serve again. After holding serve in the sixth game, Kyrgios led 5-1. Brandon Nakajima held serve to recover one round. In the eighth game, Kyrgios won the game.
