Korean pine
Korean pine, an evergreen tree, up to 40 meters high. Leaves are thick and stiff. Cones ovate-conical. The seeds are large and do not fall off when mature. Produced in the Changbai Mountains to the Xiaoxinganling Mountains in Northeast China, it has strong cold resistance and likes slightly acidic soil or neutral soil. Korean pine is a national second-level key protected wild plant.
South China five-needled pine
South China five-needled pine, tree, up to 30 meters high. The bark of young trees is smooth and that of older trees is brown. The cones are columnar-oblong or cylindrical-ovate, light reddish brown when ripe, slightly resinous. Seeds elliptical or obovate. The flowering period is from April to May, and the cones mature in October of the second year. China's endemic tree species are distributed in southern Hunan, Guizhou Dushan, Guangxi, northern Guangdong and Hainan Wuzhi Mountain at an altitude of 700-1600 meters. South China five-needled pine is a national second-level key protected wild plant.
Jakarta pine
Jakarta pine, an evergreen tree, up to 45 meters high. Bark reddish brown. The branches are spread flat. The crown is wide, tower-shaped or umbrella-shaped. The needles are soft, slightly twisted, and have finely serrated edges. The seeds are oval and bloom in April-May. The cones are oval and cylindrical and mature in October-December of the second year. Distributed around Yajia Daling and Changjiang County, Hainan Island, China. Jakarta pine is a national second-level key protected wild plant.
Qiaojia five-needled pine
Qiaojia five-needled pine, pine is a tree, up to 30 meters high. The branches are slender, forming a wide tower-shaped to umbrella-shaped crown. The needles are thick and long, with finely serrated edges. The cones are solitary, erect, drooping, and light yellowish brown when ripe. It blooms from April to May, and the fruit matures from October to November of the following year. Distributed in Qiaojia County, Zhaotong City, Yunnan Province, China, the distribution area is less than 0.5 square kilometers. 35 wild individuals. It is an ancient relict plant of the genus Pinaceae and is a very valuable species for elucidating the evolution of the genus Pinus system. Qiaojia five-needle pine is a national first-level protected wild plant.
