Among them, the third-generation thalassemia detection kit has recently obtained ethical approval for medical device registration and entered the clinical trial stage; the third-generation CAH and third-generation SMA technologies have both obtained invention patent certificates in 2022. Berry Gene pointed out that the company's third-generation sequencing technology will be mainly used in the screening and diagnosis of genetic diseases, and is expected to achieve the same cost as second-generation sequencing in 2025.
