Ling Zhijun , a senior editor and senior reporter of People's Daily, has always been known for its high quality and high yield, and its works are well-selling at home and abroad.

In 2007, Ling Zhijun was suddenly diagnosed with "advanced lung cancer and brain tumor". Since then, his life has been sentenced to "death penalty" and has been suspended for three months.

But five years later, without chemotherapy, he regained his life from the God of Death and became the first person in China to fight cancer successfully.

From being in a desperate situation to gradually recovering, Ling Zhijun told the world from his own experience: We need to re-understand cancer from a more objective perspective, and do not over-treat because of the disease, but choose the best treatment plan rationally and face life positively and optimistically!

Late stage of lung cancer, cold treatment

Late at night on February 7, 2007, the new book " China's New Revolution " was completed, Ling Zhijun closed the notebook and fell asleep with fatigue and drowsiness.

But not long after, a sudden dizziness woke him up. Continuous nausea, headache, and dizziness, made this person who had almost never gotten sick on weekdays realize the seriousness of the problem.

Ling Zhijun came to the hospital for examination. After waiting for the film for a long time, he didn't know that his life had been sentenced to severe punishment.

The doctor who watched the movie muttered: "It's in the brain, in the lungs, and in the liver."

Ling Zhijun's heart skipped a beat.

"I have lived for 3 months." The doctor said nothing and directly killed the topic. Because the film shows that two lesions in Ling Zhijun's skull occurred, and the probability of lung cancer and brain tumor was 98%, which was basically judged as advanced lung cancer.

Like most patients, when the accident suddenly came, a dismal light flashed in front of Ling Zhijun's eyes. Ling Zhijun is already very familiar with the two words "lung cancer" in .

1993, 30-year-old Ling Zhijun was admitted to Chinese Academy of Social Sciences through self-study. When he shared this excitement and joy with his family, his mother cried and responded to him: Your father has lung cancer and is almost out of reach...

This is the first time that Ling Zhijun has a real feeling about cancer. Ling Zhijun's heart was also shattered as he watched his father circulate in the pain of radiotherapy and chemotherapy. However, after exhausting all the methods, Lin's father left quickly.

Now, like a replica of history, Ling Zhijun feels that he can see the end of his life at a glance.

He began to seek medical treatment everywhere. A friend suggested that he go to Beijing Temple of Heaven Hospital and recommended a prestigious expert. After two hours of bumpy road, Ling Zhijun and his wife waited for three hours in the hospital corridor.

When the hospital is approaching, Ling Zhijun finally meets the expert. However, the expert just glanced at him, turned to the film and talked to the young doctor opposite him, while Ling Zhijun and his wife stood aside and were at a loss.

After a few minutes, Ling Zhijun tried to describe his sudden symptoms and even raised the volume, but the expert looked unhappy because the conversation was interrupted.

The anxious wife next to her was finally unable to bear it anymore and went forward to ask: "Is there any connection between the things in the brain and the lung lesions!" The wife was worried that if the brain tumor was caused by the spread of lung cancer, there would be no hope.

expert threw two question marks in a row, "Do you want it to be connected? Do you?" After , Ling Zhijun and his wife were silent for a long time.

That day, the couple did not reach a clear conclusion in the end. The expert just told them that the brain tumor was 2.5 cm x 2.3 cm in size and needed a craniotomy immediately.

When he heard the craniotomy, Ling Zhijun was a little resistant and asked him if there were any other ways and the consequences of not having surgery. The expert finally looked at him: "No surgery? Then wait!"

"wait", that is, "wait for death". This time, the experience of 's medical treatment has aggravated Ling Zhijun's negative attitude towards treatment.

From the bottom of his heart, he felt that the influence of doctors on patients is overwhelming, and their indifference is far more desperate than the test results and the torture of diseases.

Since then, he has been to major hospitals in Beijing and Shanghai, and has visited internal medicine, surgery, traditional Chinese medicine, Western medicine... Every expert cannot tell whether the brain tumor is metastasis of lung cancer, but it all shows that lung cancer is undoubtedly accurate. Apart from chemotherapy and surgery, there is no good treatment plan.

Ling Zhijun also began to hesitate whether to follow the doctor's advice, and then he would have chemotherapy and surgery like his father, and finally died.

only undergoes surgery, no chemotherapy

When fear and anxiety are at the same time, a ray of dawn quietly shines from the other side of the ocean. After her cousin who studied medicine abroad learned that her brother had advanced cancer, she asked him to prepare a complete set of MRI and CT information so that she could contact several foreign cancer experts for joint consultation.

Two days later, my sister told Ling Zhijun about the consultation process of foreign experts.

In a room with a huge film reader, the doctors lined up his nine brain films in turn and hung half of the wall. Then he picked up the magnifying glass and read the film carefully. At the same time, he listened carefully to Ling Zhijun's sister about the onset of the disease. He asked repeatedly about the details they thought were very important, and then returned to the films and reviewed them one by one.

The entire process lasted about 60 minutes, but it was still not finished. They copied the digital text of the film to the computer, and then compared it after enlarging it. After discussing the diagnosis, foreign doctors came to different conclusions: 50% of the brain lesions in are not tumors, or just benign tumors; brain lesions and lung lesions are not closely related.

Experts told him that Americans generally believe that cancer is not a terminal illness, but a chronic disease. Among them, 1/3 of the cancer can be prevented, 1/3 can be cured, and the rest can survive for a long time through effective treatment.

Ling Zhijun was shocked. After searching for a large amount of information, he found that it seemed reasonable because the cancer incidence and mortality rate in the United States have been curbed in the past 10 years.

So, after a rational and comprehensive analysis, Ling Zhijun boldly made a decision: only undergoes surgery, not chemotherapy.

From this time on, every choice he made was a bet on life.

In 2008, Ling Zhijun removed the malignant tumor in the most severe part of the left lung, but refused the treatment plan for resection of the brain tumor. After the

operation, Ling Zhijun completed the discharge procedures according to his plan, and even rejected the doctor's chemotherapy and radiotherapy suggestions when he was discharged from the hospital. Ling Zhijun did not take any of the anti-cancer drugs prescribed by the hospital.

All kinds of practices make doctors confused. But in his opinion, these drugs will also bring great side effects to destroy the autoimmune system while encircling the remaining cancer cells in his body.

From the advanced stage of lung cancer to the disappearance of tumor

Ling Zhijun began to try to restore his physical fitness in a pure and natural way. For example, walks 5 kilometers a day, sunbathes, and breathe deeply...

In addition, starting with diet and daily habits, Ling Zhijun restarted his life. Before he got sick, he was still a "workaholic", working 12 hours a day, 7 days a week, and there were no holidays.

When I learned that lung cancer was in the late stage, when I saw security guards and cleaners, Ling Zhijun also had this idea: If I had the opportunity to start over, I could just start from the security guards and cleaners, and I would go to and from get off work on time and have a regular life.

But calm down, Ling Zhijun felt it was not realistic. no longer complained, but actively adjusted his mentality and took the initiative to slow down the pace of life.

After the chest opening surgery, Ling Zhijun went to Suzhou for recuperation. In a few days, chest tightness and cough were relieved. After 5 months, the cough had disappeared.

At seven o'clock every day, Ling Zhijun will get up on time, have breakfast, and have half an hour of the internet; after that, he will come outdoors and expose 50% of his skin to sunbathe. According to Ling Zhijun's idea, even if cannot supplement vitamin D, you can still enjoy the feeling of life being illuminated by the sun again, and be vibrant and energetic.

His favorite thing is a park surrounded by willow shade three miles away from home.In the past, he always hurriedly walked past the wall, and walked in for the first time after he got sick, looking at the blue sea and the blue sky. Only then did he realize that there was such a calm and quiet world without any self outside.

After lunch, Ling Zhijun will take a nap. Then, we will drink tea for an hour and then go out for a walk. After dinner, I watched TV for a while and went to bed.

Simple eating, drinking, pulling, scattering and sleeping constitutes Ling Zhijun's day, but the difference is that the details are full of ingenuity everywhere.

For example, eat enough mixed, thick enough, vegetarian enough, and natural enough; drink 2.4 liters of water every day; develop excretion rules, and observe the color and amount of urine and defecation; the daily sleep length is greater than 8 hours...

Time passes minute by minute, getting closer and closer to the "three-month limit" that the doctors said, , but Ling Zhijun did not smell the breath of death. On the contrary, with a good physical feeling and a gradual refreshing breathing, he felt that the god of death was getting farther and farther away from him!

The fact is true. After examination, Ling Zhijun's placeholding in his brain showed signs of retraction, and the shadow in his lungs was also reduced a lot. Ling Zhijun was excited. He succeeded in trial and error in in his unique way, which undoubtedly brought great confidence to Ling Zhijun.

On March 15, 2012, five years have passed since the cancer was diagnosed, and Ling Zhijun conducted a new round of comprehensive review.

After repeatedly confirming his test report, his hands trembled unconsciously and began to disbelief in his eyes: carcinoembryonic antigen is in the normal range; intracranial lesions almost completely disappeared; no new abnormalities were seen in the lungs and abdomen.

all show that he has been reborn!

Write a book to impart experience, and live a life towards the sun

"I understand that the risk of recurrence and metastasis is still there, but I will never be afraid of cancer. Death is the last angel in heaven and the last gift God has given to mankind." After experiencing cancer, Ling Zhijun has too much courage and confidence.

After successfully fighting cancer, he returned to his creation, but unlike all previous books, this time, he decided to record his anti-cancer experience so that more cancer patients can look at the disease rationally and overcome the disease.

In his book, he summarized his anti-cancer experience as "Nine Rehabilitation Strategies" :

Establish a correct concept of treatment, but do not over-treat; change the wrong lifestyle; do not seize time, slow down and calm down; focus on "eating, drinking, defecating, urinating, sleeping"; go to bed early and get up early, don't stay up late; take deep breaths; bask in the sun more; practice a good mood; walk more often.

These are different from the therapeutic and drug effects in the medical system. The first one is not over-treated, which is the deepest insight that Ling Zhijun has drawn from himself and what he saw and heard in the hospital.

Ling Zhijun clearly remembers that in an annual meeting of the Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association, 400 domestic and foreign experts reached a consensus on overtreatment of tumors:

Currently, 80% of advanced cancer patients in my country are intentionally or forced to receive overtreatment that exceeds the disease treatment needs; 1/3 of the global tumor patients die from unreasonable treatment; because of the prevalence of overtreatment, the mortality rate of cancer patients has increased by 17 percentage points.

Ling Zhijun also clearly remembers that a colleague had unfortunately suffered from lymphoma . He treated chemotherapy again and again, and at that time, his leukocyte dropped to zero, which meant that the body had no immune function. After "a larger dose of chemotherapy", the colleague passed away.

However, Ling Zhijun is not encouraging the same anti-cancer method as him. he emphasizes only to avoid unnecessary overtreatment.

"There is no regret medicine for the contest with cancer. If you are not careful, you may lose everything. Therefore, every decision must have sufficient reasons, and it must be the result of rational thinking, not impulse and blind obedience." Ling Zhijun said earnestly.

The remaining eight awakening mottos are aimed at psychological reconstruction and assisting treatment with physical and mental comfort. Because Ling Zhijun realized that the biggest difficulty for patients with cancer is not only physiological, but also psychological.

Many cancer patients feel that they are so unlucky. As they think about it, they even suffer from depression . But in fact, this is entering another realm of life.

Because if it weren't for life and death, Ling Zhijun would have overdrawn his passion for life on the road to his career. After cancer, in his relaxed state, he not only enjoyed life, but also became more positive and optimistic.

Perhaps born with illness and facing the sun, it is the best attitude towards life. Today, Ling Zhijun still has not broken the habit of going to bed early and getting up early.

His life is not only healthy, but also richer. Go to the mountains and forests in the south of the Yangtze River to breathe fresh air. Traveling around with your beloved wife, climbing, skiing, and having a heart-to-heart talk with friends...

. Every morning when you are at home, Ling Zhijun will grind and cook coffee in the slowly rising sun, listening to the classical music on the radio he bought for you, which is romantic and elegant.

The current Ling Zhijun is like a phoenix reborn in the fire, he is no longer tired of running around and truly lives his ideal life.

Conclusion

Different age groups have the chance of cancer occurring, and regular physical examinations are particularly important.

But genetic abnormalities are inevitable. When cancer is discovered, we can only fight against fear, treat it rationally, and at the same time reconcile with fate, and face life with a positive and optimistic attitude, so that we can have the prerequisite of competing with the disease.

Come on, every stranger in a desperate situation!
