Readers who have read the previous article will have some understanding of the origin of China's shoulder tits - the earliest shoulder tits was "Jinggangshan", the Yangtze River 750 is just the successor of the "Jinggangshan" shoulder tits, and it is also a replica of the Soviet-made M72. The M72 is a German military vehicle , a BMW R71, imitated by the former Soviet Union. From another perspective, it is the retreat of "Jinggangshan" that fulfilled the Yangtze River 750.

1956, the General Logistics Department of the People's Liberation Army of China proposed to Second Machinery Industry Ministry of to for imitating the M-72 motorcycle. On February 11, 1957, the Fourth Bureau of the Second Machinery Industry held the first professional collaborative meeting on civilian products (called the second product at the time) in Beijing. At the meeting, one of the civil service tasks assigned to Nanchang Aircraft Manufacturing Company (Hongdu Machinery Factory) was to trial-produce and produce 100 motorcycles, requiring that the trial production be successful that year.

In accordance with the requirements of the Second Ministry of Machinery Industry and the Fourth Bureau, a trial production work plan was formulated.

On November 30, 1957, the factory successfully assembled the first motorcycle; on December 20, the total assembly task of 5 prototypes was successfully completed and the 3000km road test was conducted on the prototypes, and the quality basically met the design requirements. In December 1958, at the first civil product exhibition of military industrial enterprises in Beijing, Liu Ding, deputy director of the Second Machinery Industry, pondered for a long time in front of the 750 motorcycle booth. He considered that two main manufacturers were in Jiangxi and the other was in Hunan (Southern Power Machinery Company, which is responsible for producing motorcycle engines, ), Poyang Lake in Jiangxi and Dongting Lake in Hunan, all flowed into the Yangtze River, and suggested that the car be called "Yang River". From then on, this military three-wheeled military that was successfully developed in just 6 months was officially named the Yangtze River 750 and mass production began...
